HELP. I cant install any games from the Battle.net launcher

can anyone help me i cant seem to install WoW after the Plunderstorm update. I had it installed the week before but it broke after the patch was live i have tried all the steps that blizzard support recommended to me still nothing

These are what Blizzard gave me:

  1. Restart Your computer and Router/Modem: Sometimes, a simple restart of your networking equipment can resolve connection issues.
  2. Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings: Make sure that your firewall or antivirus software isn’t blocking Blizzard’s games or services. You may need to add exceptions for Blizzard’s executables or ports.
  3. Disable Background Applications: Close unnecessary background applications, as they might interfere with Battle.net Games. Check for any resource-intensive programs running in the background and close them before launching the game.
  4. Flush your DNS cache and reset your network configuration. You can do this by opening the Command Prompt (on Windows) or Terminal (on macOS)
  5. Reinstall the Battle.net App: Uninstall the app, restart your computer, and reinstall the app. Corrupted installation files can lead to various issues, and a fresh installation might resolve the problem.
  6. Wired Connection: If you’re using a wireless connection, try switching to a wired connection by connecting your computer or console directly to your router using an Ethernet cable. This can help rule out potential wireless interference issues.

Encountered the same issue since the last update.

I’m now able to get it to work. Saw a reddit post to use VPN. I tried to access bnet using VPN and got a prompt to restart and update. after restarting, I can now install WoW and other Blizzard games. Weird glitch. I never had to use VPN before to play any blizzard game.

Had the same issue. I used VPN and it’s now working. Installing WoW at the moment. Hopefully this is fixed soon. I never had to use VPN before to play Bnet games.

No, just connect to the fastest VPN location.

ALL hail Escallion!!! it worked thank you very much man.

If a VPN helps it just means your ISP has a bad route to the content delivery server. It’s usually a temporary problem.
