Hi, guys. I have a question. What is an efficient way to see whom on my team needs dispelling? I know this is a very basic question, but, I am having difficulty recognizing whom is suffering from something I can dispel or cleanse.
Add-ons like Decursive help a lot.
I don’t use that but I do use big debuffs which also helps as it makes dispelable stuff easier to see.
I’m sure there’s addons, but when I heal, if I’m in doubt, I try to cleanse it.
How are we meant to spot teammate debuffs? O.o
Enable raid style frames for parties.
I also move that frame closer to my character so I always see it.
Decursive makes dispelling extremely easy. Install it and then click away to dispell.
If you look at their HP bars, you can see their buffs/debuffs under it. You can mouse over them (though this takes time). FFXIV addressed the “what’s cleansable” issue by marking the dispellable stuff’s icons with a white line over it.
WoW, though, it’s either addons or get familiar with the debuffs/icons.
I would recommend Decursive if it is proving to be an issue for you. It is super easy to use. If its something you can remove via a class spell it’ll show up otherwise you’ll never see it.
There’s add-ons like everyone has said but Lathander is right, activate Raid style frames and you’ll see the debuffs.
I’m going to go against the grain here and advise against getting decursive. If you do as Kaelh and Lathander advise above and activate raid style frames for party then you’ll easily see the debuff. If you want to be able to mouse over the debuff and dispel, you can create a mouse over macro for your dispel/cleanse.
Adding another set of “frames” via decursive seems like an inefficient use of screen space when you should be able to see all of that on your party /raid frames. I’m not sure why anyone would want to have two separate sets of frames to look at but that’s just me.
Exactly. I don’t want to waste screen space unnecessarily. So, to activate raid frames, I go to:
Interface -> Raid Profiles -> Use Raid Style Party Frames -> Auto Activate raid frames on every team size.
Is that right?
