Help! Classic WoW crashes with Error 132

Hello! I have not been able to launch Classic Wow at all and I would love to have it fixed before launch. As soon as I click play from the app, it crashes and never even makes it to the login screen. My retail and PTR works so I am not sure what to do. Help!

Hi Darkfear

Let’s take a look at the error. Now I’m not positive if those errors go into the normal Error folder found in the Wow > _retail folder or some other Error folder in the Classic folder. You can educate me there. Track it down - then paste the entire wall of text.

You likely will have issues pasting on the forum here - go ahead and put it up on pastebin.com. Provide the link code portion of the URL - example below.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! I pasted it right in the forum, hopefully its the correct thing you need!

Actually I need the whole error - very long wall of text.

Oh sorry I did not even realize I did not copy the whole thing haha. Doing it now

Here are the last letters or the Paste Bin kQVJnR6C

The crash is on the AMD graphics. Let’s take a look at a DXDiag report next:

The second section of page has DXDiag report instructions - we don’t require the MSinfo report.

Pastebin that wall of text as well.

Ok that link is hmwJa9h8

You are running on the Windows Redstone 4 version from April 2018. There are two more recent versions Redstone 5 and the new 19H1 - (1903) versions.

The graphics driver you have is from 2016 so we need to see if we can update that as well.

With notebooks I like to use manufacturer’s drivers - hard to say what HP might have. Can you give me the full Model number - All I see is HP Envy 15

We will try to update the graphics first. The Windows update might be something you want to plan for - it could take an hour or two.

I dont see anything anywhere else that explains the model number aside from HP Envy 15…is there somewhere specific I can look?

Should be on a sticker label somewhere. Look for model number

Something like this: HP Envy 15-j154ca

looks like it might be 15Z-j100

Bah - HP support is annoying some days. Can you give me the serial number or you can go there yourself let HP detect your product then download the most recent driver for AMD Radeon HD 8650G graphics. Let me know.

OK the serial number is 5CG3493GPH

The product number is E1R45AV - I tried doing it myself but it said it was unavailable

Ok so I was able to navigate to device manager and update my drivers from there. It has asked me to restart computer so I will give that a try

I got the same result with everything I tried previous and now with the serial number and product number. It’s odd - almost seems like nothing was ever updated for that notebook. We can try the AMD generic drivers after you test whatever Windows was kind enough to install.

Ok so the windows option did not work, sadly
