everyone i hate i hate for good reason. i will never forget and i will never forigve!! i’ll turn your world… upside down!
Hello and welcome back to anyone who has been gone or just afk for 10 years.
For anyone who is back and sort of playing, if only for the moment - WoW is currently offering the Winds of Wisdom XP Buff (50% XP+) until I believe 8/2.
Come on guys. You know you want to run the same quests you’ve been running for 15 years one more time.
People level alts in this game still? Crazy.
Oh, cross-faction is fantastic. It has facilitated the most roleplay I’ve seen in all my years of WoW. I’m not overselling that neither. If I could go back to 2010-2014 era but we had the ability to group up, whisper, trade, /e, /s, /y and more without using bnet, skype, mumble or shady addons? My friend, regardless of whatever is going on, roleplay is the best it has ever been. Mileage will vary.
On the content front, same hat. I now have a full WrA M+ team that runs at the 1% of io. Team RP. The Legion of the Dawn and the Vol’kar pushed our raid teams together to make one full, functional team. Bosses fall over when you have 25 people instead of 9. lol.
I’m enjoying the heat of the moment, if anything. I still do not monetarily support Blizzard. I also realize that nothing lasts. Play when you want, quit when you want, ignore FOMO. Do and RP what you like and others will come. (“Build it and they will come”)
also shout-out to Thomas Bates. Turned Duskwood into a bustling RP hub. You can stumble into plots and adventures like an open world adventure game out there.
Cross-faction RP is the best part of this game. It’s why I couldn’t go to Moon Guard. I would miss all the Horde friends.
I took a break as well, came back and healed a bit before jumping from my MG alts back to WrA. Wanted to get the title from the Deepwind Gorge achiev, geared up and got it. Planning to play my warrior a lot in DF, Sef and a Dracthyr since I love alts and new classes.
Life is great but busy. Playing WoW quite casually, just doing Torghast here and there, between bursts of work, on alts to level them in a braindead haze with this XP buff. Get my H-side WrA roster all up to 60 for no good reason.
I think DF will be okay.
Honestly agreed. I love cross-faction RP because it lets me interact with a lot of folks compared to only getting one side, and I also just knew way more Horde players in general so it used to work out.
Nice! I honestly think a break will help anyone, and we’re going to see if this is what I need to stick around for RP more or less and maybe M+ if I’m feeling it. I currently do end-game content raiding on Grimble Plantsy so I won’t really have time to do anything major in WoW but occasional RP and dungeons would be much more lax in that regard. If I end up liking it, I have enough gold for a month or two of tokens before I’d be forced at gun point to give kotick more gold to swim in.
I was loving Pineal Plantasy but was playing through with my partner, hit a wall with her computer unable to play the current version so it’s gone on extended pause. Plan on returning at some point.
Another thing is the new talent trees. I made an Outlaw build for questing and doing old content that has 1 charge of shadowstep, improved sprint, improved hook, blade rush, and 3 speed boosts that equate to +30% movement speed at all times and +50% in stealth (if they stack how I hope they do).
I didn’t want to support blizz either, but they will quickly be MS and even though MS isn’t some pillar of morality, I prefer that.
If you wind up playing late night, we should party up. My warrior’s name is ‘Girl’ so that would be funny. We should find 3 more people with incredible names.
I moved a DK and freed up ‘Jon’ for my Dracthyr, which will be a nickname from some dragon name like Aljonegckos or something but still funny (to me only, perhaps).
I love common/simple names so them being named Jon is perfect to me.
Also sure! When I am off I tend to stay up very late at night so perhaps we should!
Ah yes.
Binal Bantasy Blorbteen. My favorite video game, though I wish they made a more cohesive theme.
There is RP still about, Shadowblands did a number on it, but there is a much more optimistic tone from people going into Dragonflight compared to SL, so there is that.
I’ve also been playing Stray, doing important cat things like saving the world.
I am genuinely surprised at the positive outlook so far, honestly. It’s not a bad thing by any means, welcome even, just surprising. From the outside all I got were doom and gloom from people who left for Moon Guard so I was pensive when friend offered to get me a month.
So far I’ve just sat down and listened to people RP and it’s been nice.
Even though I did move two characters to Moon Guard I still don’t believe the whole WRA RP iS dYiNg doom and gloom.
Content drought and a subpar expansion didn’t help but guild RP seemed to be doing well through it all and the reveal of Dragonflight has definitely piqued people’s interest. So I’m confident WRA is fine, I will still be playing on WRA next expansion just not my two blue bois is all.
Welcome back, Wolf. I’m in the exact same place you left me. Duskwood.
I resubbed in an attempt to level all of my alts…again. In the past, I always have leveled at least 1 of each class to the current max level. It was a bit of a struggle in BFA but I pretty much ended up with all classes maxxed again. This time around with Shadowlands all I have is my girl Chonga here and my Death Knight. I tried to level my Priest a couple of months ago and got halfway finished until I got bored now I was working on a Monk but I’ve already gotten tired of that even with the exp buff.
I just hope the vastly decreased leveling exp required for 50-60 on the Alpha goes live in 10.0 cause it is currently a slog.
Edit: Shadowlands, not Legion…which was probably the last decent expansion we had.
I have wonderfully found this out tonight as we roleplayed, and it was equally heartening to see so many people walk up to us while we were roleplaying.
Duskwood is alive and that’s so cool? And ironic?
That is awesome to hear! WRA roleplay ftw! Everyone keep being amazing!
Hey, Wolf!
Good seeing you around! And unfortunately, last time I was on WRA Alliance, it was really dead, barely any one in Stormwind City that I transferred my main (Wolfston the worgen druid) to Moonguard. It’s pretty more lively over in Moonguard than WRA. I hasn’t checked back in WRA Alliance in a while but I don’t know if it’s still dead or not. Hope to see you around!
There’s no one in Stormwind cause the walk up rp is all in Duskwood. I’m not being silly or hyperbolic, either.
Yeah, I honestly had a wonderful time last night and it was very inspiring to say the least.
Definitely scratched an itch I haven’t had in a very long time. While Stormwind was definitely a ghost town, Duskwood was shockingly active and I had a good time.
