Hello Fall!

I let my father in law do the elk hunting. When we lived in Idaho, tags were like $25 for doe & $40 for bull. Now if I want to get a decent sized elk, out of state tags are a couple hundred for non-resident. We do have an elk farm near us, but the hunt fees are silly expensive and it’s not really hunting if you can walk up and pet them on the nose because they’re so human assimilated.

So we just mooch from hubby’s dad. I trade him turkey, because we can meet our daily bag limit all season by just casually sauntering across the field a half mile from our house.

But yes. The culling seasons are upon us. Time to fill the other half of our freezer chest.
