Hellforged Manuscript Mythic Only

So it was just confirmed that the Embodiment Manuscript in Aberrus, Hellforged, drops from Mythic Sarkareth.

Why?

The Raszageth Embodiment was available from all difficulties. For a lot of my friends, this became our last bit of content at the end of the patch. Threw all our alts at it, mine took 43 attempts, my friend 83, his friend 60 ish. This felt rewarding, because LFR is a struggle.

Although I am aware that the 2nd and last raid of the expansion has a Mythic Mount…
This is not a mount, but a skin. We can’t use this in the old world like the Glad mounts can.

Our group was fully prepared to farm LFR/Normal mode Sarkareth, only to be hit with this. Now that it’s Mythic only, that means its reserved for Mythic raiders that kill the last boss (a very tiny % of the playerbase) or people that will buy it from boosting communities.

Personally, as someone who has gotten boosted for every Mythic mount since Ny’alotha, I’m not buying this. It’s not a mount. That’d be a waste of my gold. Along with this change, we basically lost content because we can’t farm the manuscript, and we really have no other reason to raid, since you can get mog from the Catalyst, and M+ does actually have rewards.

Solution:

  • Make the Embodiment drop on all modes, from either Sarkareth or Kazzara.
  • Make a mount version, or a new mount, drop from Mythic Sarkareth. You have time to do that, RWF will probably take a while.

probably lost too many sales for the wow tokens :man_shrugging:t2:

Arguing if it’s a mount or not as the main argument is just a waste of time.

They could have made any cosmetic Mythic only and it would have been fine.

Yeah, I’ve said this in a few other threads, but this was a disappointing decision for me. It also takes the wind out of my sails since I was actually kind of excited for this raid. That’s not really the case now. LFR Aberrus won’t stay alive very long either at this rate.

A pretty disappointing change, was literally the only thing I wanted from the raid but I guess I can drop it all together and do something else :dracthyr_a1:

Yeah, I have actually unsubscribed for now. It’s not like that renown grind is going anywhere.

Tbf this gives me a great reason to take a break from the game. After I get KSM, AOTC and portals done, there’s nothing left I’m interested in till the Megadungeon in 10.1.5, which I’ll probably finish the first week on Hardmode.

Just a bit disappointed because we were looking forward to the raid grind, and this decision basically makes the raid a waste of time for me, because it rewards me nothing.

(Especially since I only pug, it’s just going to be a pain to do, for absolutely no rewards. Doesn’t feel right)

That Razz skin was keeping LFR and Normal raids going for quite a while in Season 1. It paired nicely with Bottled Essence farming.

I don’t expect to see good raiding metrics in Season 2, given how lower difficulties of raiding are a poor gearing method and access to teams is so strongly gatekept.

Metrics for season 1 are already terrible, it won’t change much. If anything the upgrade system that they added that works for heroic raids will add way more than that mount could ever done.

Because, thats why…

Jokes aside I kind of agree here. The Raszageth skin was available to everyone, now their essentially taking that away with this new skin, its like they want people to quit the game.

Exactly this, Reward desing in this game is really bad recently, Seeting Cache is easier just to wait, new skin for DR if you’re not part of the small % that participate on mythic is better to wait…a lot of rewards its just better to grind pathches/expansion later…

This new skin at least should be Heroic 100% drop and just 1-2 per weekly attempt, if Devs want to add some challenge, instead of using Mythic as requirement, then move it to a 1% drop in order to avoid FOMO.

Reward Devs should check metrics between Heroic completion and Mythic completion, Mythic is a mode that’s like another game within the raiding scene due to their own set of rules.

They broke my WoW addiction years ago, so quitting (or at least taking a nice, long break) is exactly what I’m going to do. I will likely never fully quit. Believe me, I’ve tried, and I have accepted that I am too invested to walk away completely. If anything, I should be thanking Blizzard for saving me some cash on a regular basis.

That’s possible, but I still think that many casual PvE players would rather do 5 Heroic dungeons for the cache each week than do LFR, or higher end PvE players would rather push M+ keys for upgrade mats than do Heroic raids.

Dungeons are always going to be more popular because they require smaller groups and can be done in bite-size sessions.

I’m sure some would prefer rewards to be posted in their mail box and for gameplay to be on their phone. But it’s a game and sometime you gotta do stuff to get stuff. Weird.

Raids will have that one time tier piece just from clearing it which is invaluable as that is a guaranteed drop. There’s always a couple bis from raids and the upgrade system should be reason enough to kill a couple boss and guarantee some loot with the vault.

Dungeon trinkets this tier are also complete unfettered garbage for a lot of specs.

I didn’t double check but casters told me Uldaman trinket was pretty good.

It’s a 3 minute on use. It’s good if your CDs are 3 minutes. Then spoils is ok if your CDs are 2 minutes.

Everything else is awful, and the passive trinkets are the aoe dot one from brackenhide and the tongue from neltharions lair.

Then there’s the 2 minute 30 cd thing from uldaman, which is just baffling.

It’s not even like raid trinkets are particularly good this tier, but once you grab your appropriate on use everything else is competing with a 421 icon.

Because Mythic final bosses from the 2nd & later tiers of an expansion have dropped mounts since… Cataclysm?

Its not a mount.
