Hellfire, please?

Would love to see hellfire return, it had so much synergy especially with destro’s mastery which gives them health when they damage enemies. I loved feeling like a tank while destroying the ground underneath me. It was such a fun ability to press in my opinion, and it was a lot more interactive then rain of fire which is just cast and forget since you actually had to get into the group of enemies to deal damage. Best of both worlds would be keeping rain of fire and having hellfire back.

Agreed on everything. I’d also like rain of fire to cost mana again and have our mana regen nerfed a bit but I’m very inexperienced so take what I say with a grain of salt. I also realize having mana RoF and hellfire might be op, it might not be for all I know.

Hellfire was awesome for the class character and lore (damage through sacrifice) but it was completely unusable as a spell unless you were farming much lower level mobs.

It generated insane amounts of threat while chipping away your health without doing any substantial damage to same lvl creatures at least not equivalent to the HP lost. You’d need a dedicated healer to make it work as an aoe spell and that’s why it was never used in any serious content.

Apart from grinding it was nice for RP and if you wanted to kill yourself real quick.

I agree with this, but in addition, I would love if rain of fire had something like a slow or daze built into it, bc we really do not have any options other than fear or shadowfury, which on has diminished returns and the other has a minute cooldown.

I wouldn’t say I want hellfire to exactly how it is in classic, I’d honestly be fine with it not costing any health at all and instead just drained a large amount of your mana. It could also be changed to not cause you to gain threat. Just the spell itself is really cool.
