Looking at one of the new proposed traits in this post. Looking at hellchains trait specificially, for unholy dark transformation, and I just want to say to the Devs. STOP. Cause honestly your Pet AI, is trash tier, now you want us to rely on an uncontrollable, most the the time unfollowing and stupid AI that gets stuck more times than I care to remember, and now you want me to position mobs between me and the pet for a trait? That's your idea of a good Unholy trait? STOP. Get the frack out of here, out of your position, and stop designing such garbage for an already garbage system for us.
Moral of the story. DO FRACKING BETTER.

Bad and undesirable. Sounds like DK pvp in general lol.

No no no. Helchains is beyond !@#$ing stupid. First of all, you literally cannot position %^-* in between you and your pet reliably. Second of all, FIRE DAMAGE? are you on !@#$ing drugs? Why the %^-* is an UH DK doing fire damage. Seriously !@#$ right off you dumb mother%^-*ers.
You wanna add an azerite trait then give us Shambler back. How about something that interacts with scourge strike or wounds or our !@#$ing dot?
Why in God's name would you put this in the game?
STOP WASTING VALUABLE DEVELOPMENT TIME ON STUPID %^-*ING !@#$ AND FIRE THE %^-*ING IDIOT WHO DESIGNED THIS GARBAGE. THEN FIRE THE !@#$ING IDIOTS WHO OKAYD THIS TRASH.

Even the name makes no sense. Hell Chains? Fire damage?
Did they make a trait for Demonology and apply it to the wrong class?

funny thing is maximus was trash and unsuable in d3 as well. Except for like 1 season where mages used it simply cause of the black dmg i think. Not even because of the chain.

I don't normally like to be negative but I'm not gonna lie I read this and was like....wait what?!
So this can either be a giant waste of a talent thingy or kinda meh as it will NEVER be consistent damage.

Unpopular opinion here.... but i think this could be awesome, at least in PVP
It’s sort of a pseudo-skillshot. I have no idea what the actual damage numbers will look like, but imagine if the helchains dealt (triple stacked) ~3k damage per second on top of your existing DPS (plague, necrotics, etc.). now your opponents have to play around it, either by using a CD, or by avoiding it.
But this is another place where skill can really shine. The kill target could be running around trying to avoid taking chains damage, but the DK is moving himself AND the pet during the DT so he can’t avoid it. Also, it could probably deal some heavy, unhealable damage against mongo melee cleaves.
I think I would have preferred this to be a PVP talent, and have it deal like 5% hp, because in a PVE setting it would just be another boring, passive (and sometimes unsuccessful due to AI pathing woes) damage source.

If only there were some way to outmaneuver a brain-dead AI and a DK... Oh, wait...
Yep, still not renewing my sub. Already feels like money well saved.

The tooltips i checked suggest it deals like 400 damage per sec per trait (so 1200 if triple stacked) and lasts for 5 seconds.
So yes, useless in any and all content.

Even the name is a joke. Sounds straight out of diablo or a bad 90s movie (spawn comes to mind). I mean wtf.
What did Lore say? Something abiut idiots and their whining? He needs to take another look at who the actual idiots are. Then really ponder why people complain.
At this point I'm convinced that class devs don't even exist. The class design is outsourced to edgy emo teens.

Trait could be ok.
If instead a line linking you and your pet, just a radius around you and your pet (or just a radius around your character? Pet empowers us when the pet is empowered???).
Buff numbers a little bit, and it helps our kind of lackluster burst.
Just make the damage easier to connect to an enemy and buff numbers.

Why they would add this instead of something that interacts with Virulent Plague or Scourge Strike is beyond me. We have too many traits circling around festering strike, one horrifically undertuned death coil trait, and two AoE pet traits already. Virulent plague has been needing some flavor/love since it was first introduced with how hideously boring and uninteractive it is, but at least in legion it was extremely powerful. Now it's boring and weak.
It's a straight rip from an elite affix in D3. http://diablo.wikia.com/wiki/Monster_Traits_(Diablo_III)

Its not ok in any reality. At the very least its fire damage and the name is just stupid.
How hard it is to make traits that actually interact with a spec's abilities?
Not trying to be an !@#, but saying it could be ok. Just encourages these "devs" to continue down this emo named garbage trait path.

Are you upset with the name and the type of damage it does??
That’s pretty silly if so. What I suggested is what you suggested — for the traits to interacts with the abilities.
Hell, even the current trait they’re proposing does what you want, just not in the most ideal way.
I agree that a trait that makes scourge strike or death coil more interesting to use would be much better than this trait, though.

The name and damage type make 0 sense for unholy. Maybe next trait couls be "angelic jumprope". Your pet and you play double dutch with a target upon use of dark transformation. Doing x amount of holy damage if the target gets caught in the jumpropes.
That interacts with unholy's abilities to.
I haven't played unholy in ages but in addition to everything ridiculous about this trait that has been said, doesn't your pet attack targets from behind?
Which is where you should attack as well... so you need to attack from the front in order for your link to work which in turns you can now be blocked and parried?
If this goes live I seriously will loose all faith in any decent DK changes.

You get to position yourself by the tank. Dks will survive with their amazing defenses.
