Hellcaller hero build

For this to be effective does it 100% require you to have malediction and contagion maxed out to increase crit dmg/chance of our dots? I’m assuming we would also grab Deaths embrace just to have that 10% dmg boost to dots once targets go below 35% health.

Anyone playing with this and having success? Kinda thinking with 4set bonus maybe hellcaller could shine potentially

I think Malediction maxxed out is good. Contagion is mostly pad. Pair it with Ravenous Afflictions and you can get alot of shadowbolt procs

As for hellcaller’s viability. Haven’t tested it lately, but I don’t think it will work in teh current meta.

The game rewards single target damage more as its one of the best ways to burn through enemy cds. But when you look at hellcaller’s profile, its always spread evenly across all targets.

This makes it very easy to heal outside of our Malevolence/Soul Rot windows.

But if you do decide to try the spec though, I did have a much better time doing consistent damage when I had the triple UA talent. After 2 to 3 dispells people stopped caring about the UA dot. But tbh, this was last season on last season healthpools where a UA dispell took out 40% of your healthbar. So maybe even that isn’t viable anymore now that it only does 25%.

This all depends on the fight.

In M+ you are shard starved so no its not viable for Aff but is in Destro.

In Raid its situational, Cauldron its 100% viable due to split cleave, esp as Aff. Destro i’d assume too as the Malevolence ramps are good.

In Mythic you may see it a bit more, due to Perma Wither.

Honestly just look at Kalamazi’s recommended builds.

Ill note this is more so aimed at pvp which I failed to mention. I really wish hellcaller got some love so everything wasnt focused around spamming MR and more so in our actual dot damage
