Ain’t wither top dam?

my afflock doesn’t play hellcaller, and I don’t see them often. But I did see 2 of them last night in back to back games, and in both a hellcaller afflock was top damage. Granted this was in blitz, not arena, but still.

Pretty sure hellcaller Aff tops damage in everygame.

Its just more classic aff of pure rot where the win con is mana/healer cant keep up in damp.

This is definitely situational, fought against a hc aff last night in blitz. This guy 4x’d my damage (I’m in 2nd) and did his whole teams damage combined by himself. Haven’t seen anything like it before, logged off after . Was average 2600 mmr so nothing special but people
Definitely pressing buttons

idk maybe my toon is bugged or something. I used to do 1mill+ on one target dummy. now i’m only doing no more than 780k dps so idk what im doing wrong…

Step 1. dont use training dummies for much resource. they are so out of whack. 2 hell caller was fine pre buffs jsut soul harv was better. Post buffs This pretty gross. Even more so if u play with a lil crit to get more benefit from the buff.

He was doing 1.2 mil sustained by the end idk , not going there or suggesting anything just never seen anyone do so much damage on lock yet. It was on the new map for reference - there some gimmicks like when you cap flag or the easy access zerkers

Hell caller pretty good vs healers that are playing with broken gear

it needs help

it is pad spec

it just cant compete with soul harvester haunt+sb+sb combos

I play Aff Hellcaller at 2k CR in shuffle with a drain soul build (I dislike Soul Harvester’s playstyle and it’s hero talents being rapture-centered)

Hellcaller performs a bit differently in Blitz versus Arena matches, since our DoT applicator Jinx is limited by our soul shard generation rate. In BGs, it’s much easier to acquire shards because you can spread Agony beyond three targets (and Agony will generate more shards to apply more DoTs via Jinx). This playstyle makes group fights easy in BGs, because you can one-button dot their whole team while focusing on CCing healers).

In Solo Shuffle/Arena, we’re a bit more limited, but drain soul helps instantly extend dots on all three enemies while quickly stacking up Shadow’s Embrace on everyone (i.e., up to 8.0% shadow damage). Plus drain soul has a built-in execute when the team gets low. I like Hellcaller because it’s much easier to do major passive damage, so I can focus more on repositioning and setting up CC chains), but that’s just my preference.

oh okay good to know i’ll try the drain soul build. idk why i never gave it a chance. I thought the shadow bolt build was gonna be better. thank you for the info and yes i completly understand with Soul harvestor. I dislike aff locks being bursty. i like the rot more for affi. if i want to burst as a dot class i’ll play sp just play destro lol.
