Helf Paladins, how both sides are right and wrong at the same time

Is this true for Zandalari and Tauren paladins?

So is it light? Or devotion that makes up for Paladins “power”?

FALSE I got to start my Voidicus Edgyboi cannon tyvm.

Yes. They just get it in different ways, but it’s still “Light”.

… er what?

Hey, just a heads up. Cez is cool, but he does just like to argue. Just a heads up.

How does their devotion to loa and the sun connect them to “the light”?

When they’ve had no other connection to what paladins overall consider to be their power source in “the light”?

I feel like it’s a lot more flexible than just “it’s the light, across the board”, and it’s just varying power sources across all races who are paladins.

The “Light” is just holy energy…so … yes

The Tauren worship the sun, a source of Light. Humans, dwarves, and now blood elves worship “The Holy Light”, which is a bit more nebulous and hard to pin down but appears to get the job done. Draenei (and their Lightforged cousins) worship the Naaru directly, who appear to be creatures entirely made of Light. The Zandalari are also a bit harder to pin down but Rezan appears to be a loa that interacts with the Light in some way - many of the loa are fairly varied in their powers and connections.

They’re basically a lot of different doors to get into the same room. This wouldn’t work for void elves because:
A. They have no such existing religious connotation and
B. They are infused with void energy, which has been demonstrated to be antithetical to Light energies.

False Dichotomy. You are using High and Void Elf interchangeably when they aren’t. A High Elf paladin can absolutely exist. A Void Elf paladin cannot. Just because a Void Elf has normal looking skin doesn’t mean they aren’t imbued with the Void as much as a blue skinned Void Elf is.

think of it like this priest direct and control light/shadow (shadow magic is probably different than void magic btw)
paladins take it a step further and internalize that connection to the light to the point where its infused to their very being , its part of them. a void elf however is already saturated in this way by void magic to introduce the light would be catastrophic . even further would be light forging the final step in becoming a slave to the light i mean a champion of the light

Personally, I just compared it to potentially getting certain options with races/classes. Similiar to how druids have their own forms, shamans and their totems, warlocks and their green fel flame, hunters and their tons of pets, they’d just get void knights as their races version of paladin. Could do the same for other paladin races too.

Why not also have a Loa like paladin looking one for zandalari too? Zandalari wouldn’t use librams. Maybe they’d pray to a figure of the loa instead.

Either way, it’s probably not going to happen. I personally don’t really care for velf paladins, but i’m interested in options and class unique spell colors/animations and im for people having options.

I personally think Zandalari’s and Taurens connection to the light is a bit of a flimsy lore and kinda dumb but oh well. I still think you could maybe add night elf paladins if those 2 work.

From what I remember hearing awhile back, they aren’t really aiming for absolute class balance between the factions. Also why we don’t have another druid on the alliance to even it out or why they have TONS more shamans than we have paladins to “even it out” or as many shamans on the alliance side as they do paladins on the horde side.

Some are sort’ve up in the air for people when it comes down to allied races for them being the same base model like dark iron and dwarf options for paladins and HMT and tauren for druids.

I’d rather be a Belf Druid.

That’s not a truth, that’s a headcanon. They absolutely should not have paladins when they’re infused with the void and paladins are infused with its polar opposite. Velf and Lightforged priests aren’t an excuse when they only channel two forces instead of mainlining them and their access to antithetical specs is dubiously canon.
I’m sick of the helf crowd coming up with these Olympic-level mental gymnastics to justify something as logic-defying as velf paladins.

It’s entitlement, I’m sure. They got normal skin tones for velves and soon threads like this cropped up asking for Blizzard to bend over backward to gut everything else that makes the race unique from helves, including their hair colors, the appearance of Entropic Embrace, and even the race’s name. Give someone an inch…

Someone really got on their blood elf alt to post this.

It’s not exactly entitlement, some act like it though, but it’s mostly because there’s a lot of those people who have wanted Fair skin, light hair (both platinum and blonde) Paladin elves on the alliance for awhile. Instead, the alliance got elite crack squad with no lore and half the class options. So they have wanted it and sticking to that until they get all those options to have their ideal version of high elf. Them wanting high elf by their name and a changed racial for them, those are asking far too much because that’s uniqueness no one else gets. Besides Zandalari with their choice of different loa buffs.

I feel you, but I think most people now just seeing wow through an RPG stand point.

Let the player pick the class and race, lore wise their are races that do prefer certain classes, but the character we are playing isn’t a run of the mill character, we are special, immoral, heroes.

Like I’d love to see gnome and night elf Paladins and Tauren Mages, we are supposed to be unique.

Is this the new high elf spam topic? Like 4 of these threads on the main mage alone.

Seriously.

Is anyone more harmful to the high elf communnity as high elven supporters?

Seriously. I hate to be this person, but I’ve said basically the same thing. Helf fans are their own worst enemy when it comes to perception from other fandoms.

I am surprise warlocks haven’t ask blizzard to be holy locks since there are some white witches . If Void Elves can ask for paladins , than i can’t see why warlocks could be holy locks . I’m sure they can see the light and out of the darkness .
