After 5 minutes into a Dawnbreaker the tank decided he didn’t want to complete the dungeon with our group because one of the affix orbs went through, so after the vote to cancel the dungeon failed because there was nothing wrong with it, the tank procceeded to hold us hostage inside the Keystone for 15 minutes, really good system!
This was predicted.
Throw them on ignore. Though couldn’t you retry the vote? Or is it locked on a 15 minute timer before you can take a second go?
Is there a cooldown on initiating a vote? How did the tank prevent anyone from leaving?
The tank then proceeded to vote NO to the cancelling, making the vote keep failing
You wanted to hold him hostage, so he did it to you. Maybe this system was a terrible idea from the beginning.
It requires a unanimous vote?
Leaving a dungeon won’t immediately flag you. Systematic leaving of dungeons will flag you.
Just leave the dungeon. You’re holding yourself hostage.
Just leave a dungeon if it is worth leaving, if you get the leaver mark from doing that just wear it as a badge of honor.
It makes no sense for them to expect us to stay in the very numerous EXTREMELY questionable runs. Sorry, but I am not going to waste 3k gold just on repairs because a healer can’t heal, a tank can’t keep threat, or because dps refuse to interrupt.
but hey let’s get rid of vote to kick deserter debuff. surely that won’t lead to problems.
Yes, let people freely leave groups. We know you’re a bit slow, but that’s kind of the point here duders.
The tank’s single vote can’t control the vote outcome, and you’re claiming the tank wanted to leave, then turned around and voted no on disbanding repeatedly? Something isn’t adding up here…
Are you implying this gentleman is embellishing or making up a story to support his previous opinion on a highly debated topic???
…… how could you!
It’s almost like demanding to trap players in miserable runs for the small percentage of times someone was being dramatic, and a run was actually salvagable, was a bad design decision.
You guys couldn’t possibly imagine how shocked I am that it didn’t work out.
You need only 4 votes to cancel the dungeon. So technically it’s impossible for a single person to hold the party hostages
Oh my, the consequences everyone told you about actually happened?
How shocking.
I hate the new system and will just make things far worse.
You can leave the dungeon at that point. And the tank wasn’t the only person voting no. So this story seems like it’s made up.
Do you have a log of the run?
Yup… anyone who thought this system wasn’t going to be used for trolling was delusional, and there were dozens of forum posts informing people of such.
I was just in a terrible run woth 4 players from Azralon. 40 deaths. None of them had ever run Dawnbreaker before. I stuck it out and was awarded with the item I wanted. I felt like I was going to be held hostage when we wiped on the first trash pack twice.
