Nice!
A year ago. I spent about 650K gold upgrading all my heirloom gear from about level 40 to level 60. It was painful but well worth it.
Inflation tends to revolve around gold earning.
Since quests, wq, etc give way more gold than they used to. Prices on pretty much everything have gone up.
So dumping 30-40k into looms is nothing, especially when you compare it to how much things cost in say, cataclysm.
30k would have gotten you a sandstone drake back then.
I noticed the opposite. Everything but runes arent worth selling
Thatās mostly because of the global market. Once they opened that up, most mat prices crashed.
I mean like I said iām not seeing inflation.
Gold earning is inflated. Thatās what I meant.
You get 600g+ PER dragon race wq, 3k from the rep weekly, and plenty other misc. things.
Gold earning is definitely inflated.
dunno why people use gold when there are so many opportunities to use alternate currency.
i guess itās easier to buy tokens than to just play the game.
Why would I not use gold instead of cash to buy game time?
The way the economy is inflated $15 is really aint that much , you really cant get anything for like $15 today lolā¦ im surprised that the sub is still $15 after all these years
Well we were talking about the game economy I thought.
Also you could say inflation didnāt affect this game either because of what you just said the price hasnāt gone up.
Say what you want about the story. But blizzard is actually really good at getting money for the game outside of subscription increases. You guys may hate twitch as much as I do but whatever partnership they make with them and amazon is probably bringing in some money
New players. If, for example, a new player doesnāt have a decent weapon, they can spend 750g to buy one from the heirloom vendor which will last them to level 29 before it needs an upgrade. By which time in most cases they have been doing questing and dungeons and will get themselves a decent weapon. I was surprised in Newcomer Chat how many players in the 20-level range were still using white weapons but had collected enough gold to buy the heirloom. Most simply didnāt realise the option was available.
Well the price did go up, the price of DF was like $20 more for heroic version from other expansions
Did it?
Okay Iāll give you that because I really havenāt paid attention.
I did pay in gold though so that was a perk.
Yea heroic was $70 i believe BFA was 49.99 as well as other ones
Mine only go to 39. Honestly with how fast leveling is, never see a reason to use them. Or upgrade them. Especially with the cost.
For the same heroic?
I could have sworn that was the base
Yea for pre order , you got the mount and other goodies
Wow tokens used to be 30k. Inflation definitely affected a lot of in-game costs with gold.
Heck I used to be able to buy into heroic raid runs when my guild was in their off season for less than 10k. The same run now days, 400k+
Well I guess thatās a shame.
But I still applaud them for keeping their subs down and getting creative with the wow tokens. Somebody elseās five dollars is my free
