Heirlooms in Classic?

Kk bye smart guy

That’s just like your opinion man.

Classic—season of discovery? Eventually, why not. I personally would prefer the SOM leveling speed for alts, so maybe they could just make the xp buff permanent towards the end of the season.

SOM had the same 0-60 time as TBC

Gonna throw my pearls before swine here, but while some items change the way you interact with the game, these ones strictly make leveling faster and don’t change anything about how you interact with the game.

3 rings 2 stam and ethire 2 agi 2 str or 2 spell dmg, the necks are 4 stam and 4 stat

/shrug it’s a minor bump for alts without having to go to the AH.

It was quite disappointing.

Slow grind? How many people already have 5 or 6 alts at 40, meanwhile im focused on 1 and can barely manage

Man, people always seem to find something to cry about.

I love seeing Classic Andies lose their minds… even though there is a classic server that has none of this…

They came to SoD looking for “F R E S H Era”.

It was never going to be fresh era… it was advertised as an experimental server

All they saw was ‘it uses the classic_era.exe’ and immediately formulated a vision in their minds of what it would (and wouldn’t) be.

The real insult is how long it took to release the rep rewards for what we got. I think the “technical snag” they had earlier was forgetting to create the rewards, so they threw something together quickly.

Nah, the snag was the Bind on Account. From the screenshots, these “heirlooms” aren’t using the goldish-yellow item coloring, but the green (uncommon). This points to a deficiency in the Era client, which probably needed a roundabout way to ‘make work’.

ie: Putting these items into the mail triggers an event that resets the “Bind on Equip” from ‘Soulbound’ to “Bind of Equip”. But the snag was probably that it was doing it for every item.

I don’t care that these items are in, I care that the rewards for revered are incredibly lackluster, especially for those who grinded it out early without the big gold rewards.

Please tell me they are adding something else. I remember hitting honored very early, buying a useless rune for 5g when gold was still very scarce, and right after they nerf it to friendly and reduce the gold cost.

Agreed. Changing rewards after the fact doesn’t feel good at all. That’s a huge amount of gold lost for those of us who turned in early.

OP doesn’t know the difference between heirlooms (xp bonus, boa, and scales to level) and mere bind-on-account items. As someone earlier said, we mail items to alts all the time to help them level faster/more easily. The new items are no different. It is the work of a main benefitting lower alts.

Yes, Blizz made catch-up mechanisms because it is a limited time season. Rune acquisition takes time too. Even with the XP buff I wouldn’t start a new character now. Too much to do. Blizz doesn’t want phases to end with people feeling behind.

Which is funny because these are the same people that whine about TBC or Wrath not being classic despite being under the exact same classic banner as SoD.

I mean they also don’t have any EXP bonus and don’t scale so they’re not really standard heirlooms either.

Which is important context too, the OP is freaking out about +2 rings and a +4 neck. These aren’t item that stay BiS until level 40 and you replace them in current raid.
