Heirloom Rings

I was taking a hiatus from WoW during the prepatch for TWW and missed it, so this leaves me wondering if there’s still a way to get the Band of Radiant Echoes?

If there is none, I wonder if Blizz will ever consider removing the restriction of the Ghost Pirate Heirloom Rings from the Garrison Naval missions?

You aren’t missing out on a lot tbh, heirlooms are becoming irrelevant with how fast you can level a character now. I don’t use my heirlooms anymore and I barely see a difference.

I use them just as gear slots i don’t have to worry about.

Currently, not that I am aware.
Rings are a pretty minimal slot. I would definitely get trinkets, weapons and armor for sure.
I always throw a dancing steel on melee weapons.
You can also use shoulder, leg, chest enchants and mail them between toons. I still mail the same set around that I’ve had since cata lol.

  • Not having to think about upgrades is nice.
  • If you don’t zerg to max, a full set means your rested lasts 60% longer, so even faster leveling.
  • Enchants last from lvl 1 to max, and you can mail the same set between toons.
  • Not having to remog, if that’s a thing you do.

Yeah I have all the basic clots covered for heirlooms, was just wondering if there was a way to get that one to fill the extra slot so I wouldn’t have to worry about it.

Also bugs me as a collector having ‘fomo’ on items because I decided to take a break.

They’ll probably add it later like they did with the df prelaunch trinket.

I forget where they said it, radiant echoes will return some point in TWW.

Well that’s something. Maybe it’ll be like 11.2 or something if that’s the case.

There’s also the heirloom ring from the fishing tourney in STV, if you’re just looking for a 2nd heirloom ring slot. I got it easily by making an alt on a low pop RP server that doesn’t shard - specifically Earthen Ring.

This would be possible if I wasn’t a day sleeper xD

I mean, not having to worry about replacing gear at certain levels is nice. Though I guess with Dungeon spam there’s no point in worrying about that.

Heirloom items are lagging behind in item levels. I took notice I could get item level 130 green gear from the AH when my Heirloom items were like 106. I think my alt is level 26 or 27.

Yes thats why I don’t even bother with heirlooms, I would say trinkets and neck is probably the only thing someone should get heirlooms for since you are less likely to get those items to drop from dungeon loot or the gear bags from completing an old dungeon. You complete one dungeon and you get an item upgrade.

No the best part about heirlooms is that it scales, the fact you point out levelling is fast is the very reason why heirlooms are useful.

I would use belt, bracer, boot and glove heirlooms…

To each their own, personally the amount of gold needed to upgrade every piece of armor, trinket, ring, weapon and for each type of gear if you want to level other class types is just not worth it to me plus you need to dump gold into them every expansion to keep them up to date. Especially when I can dungeon spam with the 25% perma xp buff from having 5 lvl 80’s on my account and I get to level 70 in 4 hours making heirlooms useless past that point anyway. I see no downside other than you’re slightly weaker when killing stuff if you ignore heirlooms altogether.

Nah they’re dirt cheap to upgrade with time warped badges. I haven’t spent a penny and have the entire collection upgraded.

Armor

  • To level 35: 750
  • To level 40: 1000
  • To Level 45: 1000
  • To Level 50: 1000
  • To Level 60: 1000
  • To Level 70: 1000

Fully upgrading one piece of armor: 5750

Weapon

  • To level 35: 900
  • To level 40: 1200
  • To Level 45: 1200
  • To Level 50: 1200
  • To Level 60: 1200
  • To Level 70: 1200

Fully upgrading one weapon: 6900

6 piece bonus + weapon = 40,400 badges. Give or take a few thousand for looms that come pre-upgraded.

This is dirt cheap to you?

Yes. But i also did mine every xpac a new max was available. And to each armor type, weapon, ring, trinket…

I also used gold lol. Its an investment and meh its just gold. You can always make more.

Because using TW badges is not dirt cheap.
