Just started playing wow for the first time in Late May.
I’d say by early July I had built a lvl 3 shipyard (and gotten the Spyglass), and I’d moved on to Legion content.
By early August I had the intelligence and agility rings. BUT I am STILL waiting for the strength ring mission to show up.
Time-gating on top of RNG on top of Time-gating is a serious PITA, especially when it means you go have to go back to old content every single day
(Ideally I’d pop into my garrison just once a week to collect some hexweave and stuff)
Goldarnit Blizzard, take notes for future expansions and never do anything like this again please!

Welcome to MMOs where most of the time we are waiting on something
I haven’t even bothered with then rings. They drop frequently enough in dungeons for me to not care about the slot.
It’s also why I haven’t bothered with upgrading my neck and trinkets. Past 60 it’s not really an issue.
Wait the rings give an xp boost? Gosh darn it…
Grumpily walks towards my garrison

Must be torture knowing you’ll never reach that even 50% xp boost.

You don’t need alll heirlooms.
I mean, I still, after all these years, do not have the ring from fishing because the tournament lands on a day and time where I am seldom at my computer.
Ohhhh, did you get enough Apexis crystals for the Reings of the Corrupted Dreadwing?
That was fun.
The fleet of the garrison was the best part - I did like that - and I was quite surprised to see the rewards you could get from it.
I also liked collecting the followers - so many.

The warlock one with demon form wings still triggers me after all these years…

Nice to have a harth just for that shipyard.
Rnd is rng…
Member the ships get distroyed.
Have fun and good luck.
Oh send all your left sharks…
i’ll give you another example - from a less rewarding scenario.
on a low level alt I was trying to do the stormwind cooking dailies for the achievement. I’d park her at the trainer and logged in every day then go do whatever I was doing elsewhere for almost 4 weeks waiting for one of the quests to pop.
that’s a rotation of 5 (low level, completely non impactful) quests and it took about 30 days for it to pop.
there was a stretch where the same quest would be up 4 or 5 days in a row, which is less likely Rng wise than the one I wanted not showing up in 30… and that happened twice!
so… idk…

I got all 3 rings.
… That was after the fact that I literally waited months for my first ring unaware that my Shipyard needed to be level 3 for it to show up.
Oh yes, I was upset.

I only got the int ring so now everything uses that. The 5% is more important than the stat. I had taken a break and didn’t even know the ring was a thing, but luckily I had the level 3 shipyard already and was able to start trying for it. Took way too long and after a few more weeks nothing else had dropped so I gave up.

This is where I wave hello from the Legion class hall while scowling at my one and only (Highmountain, of course) paragon mount.
If I remember correctly you had to clear out all treasure missions in the upper right and lower left corners to get the ring missions

I still need the fishing ring. My brain goes in shut down mode when I try to attempt to sit here and fish.

I really need to do the stupid naval thing for the rings… so I shall start stockpiling oil until I have a good 500k or so lol.

You know, I never cared that mine got destroyed during WoD, but I haven’t had to build a ship in years because they’re all still there now.
It’s so easy to get, though…
actually 55% chance because you can also get a separate heirloom ring from fishing.
I only ever got the str ring. So regardless what class I’m on I use it. Rings at later levels dont give a main stat anyway so lol
