This may be a dumb question but Heirlooms say 1-80 but does that mean from 80-81 I’ll get the bonus xp of I have them equipped?
at 80 they lose xp bonus.
And the damage and stats stop scaling as well.
If like retail…they would drop an upgrade item for these mid to end cata cycle. In retail first half of expac is meant to be non loom leveled.
In the original cataclysm, they worked just fine after 80, even though the stats stopped growing. It meant players wore outdated items for the XP bonuses. In this version, people have said the XP bonuses no longer work after 80. I can’t confirm that until I can actually test it, which will be after the new levels open.
Or as soon as the first raid opens.
I just finished doing this on the beta moments ago. I did two quests that showed 22050xp in the quest log and 24255xp when turning in (and accepting the quest) due to the 10% from Fast Track. I then turned in one without any heirlooms and one with the shoulders equipped. Both gave the exact same xp (24255), so heirloom at 80 is useless as far as bonus xp is concerned.

Throughout cata classic, the wrath Heirlooms will have a cap of level 80, though an item to upgrade them is released in Mists of Pandaria.
The guild rewards Helm and Cape heirlooms will be changed to scale up to 85 some time after launch of cata classic.
