I play a couple hours a day. Maybe a little more since expansion. And here we go. Play casually and you think you deserve handicaps because “i hAvE a BAbY and a JoB”

Use timerunning badges. They’re not limited by character, even with warbands, and if you’ve been around for any length of time, you probably have quite a few left.
Don’t know what else to tell ya then. waste the gold then. Granted it was better when you could just spam regular dungeons for jp like you can in Cata classic, and use jp to buy them. And they still work as they were intended with the xp buffs, and great power.
I only upgrade heirlooms with holiday currencies. So no gold cost for me!
After they cut the bonus xp off of them they stopped being worth it. It’s just as fast without them. They just save a few gold on mogs while living now, not much else

Making heirlooms a gold sink was another way to get you to buy wow tokens. Change my mind

That makes no sense. If everybody did what you did, nobody would make gold not even you. I did great in DF and haven’t done bad so far in TWW. But if everybody did what I was going, I’d make no gold doing it. So again we’re talking about the masses, the ones that generally lose which is the only way you win.

Not worth it tbh. It sucks because you would like to use them but yeah unfortunately just a ‘gold sink / revenue generator’ at this point 
We don’t really need them anymore with the ease of leveling so nbd
I would argue they were needed in the last expansion pre-event, when leveling a new alt from 1/10 to max.
You didn’t get enough gear to be able to dps/survive at higher levels, and would die often.
The only gear that dropped was for cosmetic reasons, and had an appropriate drop rate to them to making obtaining them for cosmetic reasons a long process.
Yeah i feel you but that ship is sailed. I think they might have adjusted for that because im leveling a prot war from scratch and so far so good. But we’ll see how it goes as i go. Just kinda sucks because I would love to use the mop weapons and demon trinkets 
I used them for this expansions pre-event and while I wouldn’t say they were NEEDED, they did help out quite a bit. There were not many blue drops during that event or enough to kit you out as you leveled up. Basically it was a race to 70 and then equip the purples.

The way they work currently? I’m with you , get rid of the upgrade cost . If they’d make them like the old ones and give bonus xp, keep the cost.
