Tell that to those damned yetis.
It’s not a boss drop. Anyone with the quest can loot it. But be prepared to kill like 50 yetis before it shows up. Hope ya got skinning.
That cave is where my skinner/leatherworker leveled up through heavy leather.
Herod is the only rod I need.

I wonder if we’re still going to be able to get Hecular to raid SS and kill everyone lol…
I believe he will be lvl 44 when you spawn him.
That was by far my most memorable quest, in big part by just circumstance.
I was playing on a PvP server at the time and once I got the rod, I went to the South Shore graveyard to summon him for the next part of the quest. What happened next was just too funny. Remember he was a pretty powerful elite at the time.
So I was summoning him and I saw a dwarf running towards me to attempt to gank me. I got Hecular summoned right before he got to me. So here comes this powerful elite then going after the ally player lol. He starts running and runs to SS where Hecular proceeds to kill the ally and destroys a huge amount of the guards there. I was sitting here laughing so hard lol. It was one of those truly priceless moments that I won’t ever forget.
