What is Maldraxxus then? Is it an undesirable place like Revendreth? Or it’s between hell/heaven.

I feel like it’s rather subjective. To some Bastion seems like Hell because of the requirement to change and not many people like being forced to change/conform.
I would say that the Maw is clearly the Hell of Warcraft and that Revendreth seems more like a darker purgatory with benefits with Bastion, Ardenweald, and Maldraxxus being different heavens with different, focused, jobs.
Bastion on transportation, Maldraxxus as the Sword and Shield of the Shadowlands, and Ardenweald as renewal and restorations.

Everyone in Maldraxxus seems to be having quite the time, so I’d say it’s heaven for edgelords. Or something.

yeah, revendreth is more of a purgatory than a proper hell. and even then there are rewards to be had even there, i actually quite like it, becoming a venthyr has a very “its better to reign in hell than serve in heaven” vibe to it (yes I know I said its purgatory not hell, its a saying damnit!)

Bastion
Ardenweald
Maldraxxus
Revendreth
Maw
But it is definitely based on individual perspective imo (I just listed them based on traditional heaven/hell beliefs)
Revendreth definitely seems like a step before Maw (hell) based on what I got out of the zone is if you arent irredeemable, you get thrown into the maw
I think its more Bastion=ardenweald=maldraxxus>=revendreth(VERY dependent on the person)
the first three are all “heaven” for the type of people that get sent there, revendreth is objectively a punishment, but can turn into something greater (and arguably something “better” since its the one that potentially allows you to retain the most autonomy and free-will, if that matters to you)

I’d say Revendreth is heaven for edgelords. Bastion to me seems more depressing, you have to give up who you are.
In Maldraxxus, you get to celebrate what you were in life, which is a soldier/warrior. Ardenweald seems the most like heaven to me, if it wasn’t for the drought.

Maldraxxus is the bathroom of the shadowlands.
They way they describe it makes it seem that there is no actual heaven, but there is certainly a hell. Hell is the Maw, all the others are just the afterlife you’re most suited to.

Revendreth and the Maw are objectively ‘hellish,’ especially because Revendreth is meant to redeem sinful souls- which I suppose is what Hell does as well? Without the redemption part, maybe.
But then if you redeem yourself you become a Venthyr which is more heavenly than being an anima-drained soul.

I always thought of it as Purgatory
Maldraxxus should have been Vry’kul/Norse based with huge mead halls filled with brawling warrior types, battle mages, etc…
The warriors afterlife.
Maldraxxus as a bunch of Undercity extras was kind of disappointing to me.
