Blizzard - WHY? why is the portal for the Alliance one INSIDE STORMWIND when you could’ve had it in Elwynn Forest??? you didn’t put the Horde one inside Orgrimmar, so why did you put the Alliance one inside Stormwind??? what a ridiculous decision.

100% agree with this, Alliance can do all 3 relatively unharmed, but Horde are forced into PvP.
It’s barely inside SW, there are no guards and you can fly. Quit whining.
Every time I have done the SW boss half the players there are Horde.
Flew in. Got immediately attacked by Alliance. Killed Alliance assailants and escaped the ones that were still alive so that I could heal up and restore some mana. Perched around on top of the building overlooking the event space. Few other flagged Alliance were being farmed, eventually came down to hang out until the portals spawned, got a card, hung around a bit. Started to hearth but was interrupted, killed three more Alliance before the respawns and a fourth jumped in. Ran back, no one was still there to interrupt hearth again (the corpse run takes quite a while), left.
Compared to the one in Durotar? Lag, lag, lag, lag, looked like a few raids were pulling people from other servers so the shard was overflowing to the point everything stopped a few times and a number of people couldn’t even get a tag because of it.
I’ll take some mild PvP over people griefing the shard by overloading it with several raid groups.
I also found this to be strange. What’s the deal? I gotta be flagged to do this?
This thread confuses me. What am I missing here? What are ‘Hearthstone portals?’
Doesn’t mean people are not going to switch over to pvp Horde players and grief them.
People are going to flip over to flag and kill opposing players without repercussions.
Not everyone has Alliance alts to just swap over to.
Horde player just got smashed at SW…they were here waiting and went AFK and demon hunter killed them…Horde players if your going to do SW at least stay with your toon and not go afk …and don’t park right at the boss ring …learn your enemy…
Every hour at the top of the hour a portal spawns at the hearthstone tables in Org, SW, or Valdrakken and summons a boss to fight, which drops a bunch of collectable stuff kinda like the Diablo event.
According to Wowhead (since I have none of this stuff. Lol) the drops include:
- Compass Rose mount
- Sarge Pet
- Collector’s Carryall (36 slot bag)
- Stone of the Hearth (or as I like to call it, the “Hearthstone Hearthstone”)
- Reno’s lucky Hat transmog
- The Tavern’s Tabard
- Tavener’s belt
