Hearthstone Game Table

Because Blizzard is for some reason incapable of explaining, can someone tell me how this dumb minigame even works? I get that it pulls random cards from the collection, with their same rarity and mana cost from HS, but the attacks make zero sense and half the time, I’ll get the Cheetah from an Epic card which makes no sense, or I’ll lose the mana and no card will even be played.

I only played it four times and won three of those games. Other players having the ability to throw Wild Cards onto the board as well as playing cards yourself is random from your collection removes any and all semblance of strategy.

yeah not a huge fan of the Wild Cards, but it can be pretty fun when nobody interjects.

that said, been doing it a bit and while there are some cards I’ve caught on to what their gimmick is, there are others that I still have no clue what they do

They work pretty much the same as their Hearthstone game counterpart, only with randomness since you can’t target an enemy or the player directly. Also there’s only three spots for creatures on the board instead of the seven or so in the actual game.

I still just don’t understand lol sometimes I summon a minion, and it takes all my mana away even though the card doesn’t cost 10 mana, or I summon a minion and it just dies for no reason, or somehow people keep getting Ragnaros when he isn’t even a card in the set.

Edit: I just realized it’s from the “Jive, Insect!” card. But the rest of this game still makes no sense lol

i think the problem is that you’re trying to “make sense” of it.

just throw the cards down until you get the achievements.

:woman_shrugging:

i saw someone the other day saying that they “didn’t have enough mana” to get the achievement… and i was so confused

i do not understand this game at all myself, sit at table and it says not enough mana, like wtf, tapped out and over it.

If you dont have mana, that means its not your turn and you have to wait for the other player to go first.

After that there is no strategy. During your turn you have to use all of your mana, so just use the rarest cards that you can until its over.

Every now and then, the cards work the way they’re supposed to. And then for no reason whatsoever, some minions just die, or don’t attack, or don’t do their abilities correctly, or cost more mana than they should.

You are trying to reduce your opponent’s health to zero.
You do this by casting direct damage spells or having creatures on the board that deal damage to them.

Your spells and creatures are cast using mana. You can’t actually control which spell or creature you cast, just whether you are casting a common, rare, epic or legendary card you have collected in thee event. The higher the rarity, generally to more powerful the creature/spell.

Every few seconds you get a new turn with some mana to spend on cards. Your creatures will also take an action, attacking opposing creatures first (I think), then your opponent if the path is clear. There is no visible timer or hint how much mana you will be getting or how much health/damage creatures have. Players nearby can use wild cards to randomly add creatures to your game.

Because you have so little control over anything, generally you just want to cast the highest rarity card you have (as it will generally be the most powerful/efficient). It is rare to come back after an opponent controls the board, but swings can happen. Generally, whoever gets a ragnoros or baron gedon out first will snowball to victory.

The game sucks, how can someone able to pull more higher cost and damage on the second to third hand ond on, while I can only pull what the ammount of diamonds allow. Arent both players supposedvto be able to pull basically same ammount?
