With the patch i started playing my druid again, after patch it was level 39. After hitting level 40 i was able to start on the quest to do Kul Tiras. I have gone a little in, did first landing on horde side, started into a zone questing. Still not able to get the Heart of Azeroth going. Visited all locations related to the quest line, cant go into the chamber of course.
Zoned in and out of stormwind a few times now, dont get the quest to start the stuff for lordaeron. Recall on any other toon starting it with the start of 110 stuff for the xpac. Was the questline removed entirely in this patch? Thought it was just the corruption things that were removed, but HoA was still there and usable.
Same happened to me on my mage… no quest popped. The NPC at SW Harbor spontaneously combusted or something… or maybe I’m at a different step, I don’t even know. I went up and down on wowhead’s questline trying to figure out what I was missing, but it’s apparently not something I forgot, it’s like the game forgot this exists lol
I’ve had both things occur. On a not-yet 50 character, after completing the Battle for Lordaeron story quest line, usually Magni pops up and goes, “We need you in Silithus!” Well, he was a no-show, so no Heart for me.
However, I had another character reach 50 before starting anything BoA. After finishing the Lordaeron quest line, Magni pops up and gives me an amulet and makes me a champion with a shiny new breastplate and everything.
I didn’t even see Lordaeron. When Jaina said “how about we go on a new adventure? :DDD” I said “I’ve seen it, skip pls”. That was at lv46. Since then, nothing regarding HoA was mentioned.
Now, you can start leveling through BoA content starting at 40, and for 10 levels and all of the drops for Azerite shards…what happens to all of that? Wasted?
False. You can level through BFA starting at level 10 after the introductory zone. You don’t have to be level 40 to start BFA content. Also, heirloom necklaces provide benefits when in a set for leveling. With the release of Shadowlands, the heart of Azeroth necklace won’t have much use at the new max level of 60 anyways.
Right. Thanks for pointing that out. But the point of my post was that the azerite shards are useless without the HoA. I’m not concerned about HoA being useless at 60. I want to get it when I start leveling in BoA.
Agreed. I hopped back on to my mage to continue leveling for the sake of it, just to learn all the Azerite I keep getting from dungeon runs is basically useless until max level now? This doesn’t make any sense. It’d be like receiving our Artifact Weapons back in Legion at max level, and not being able to use any Artifact Power granting items in the meanwhile. (Or just flat out throwing them away as we get them.)
