I couldn’t help it. I had to. It’s perfect now. :sparkling_heart:

That’s a good joke.

…so, uh, what do we do with the thread now? Because I’ve got some people interested in renting out some forum space for a few months.

Why rent when you can live rent free in their heads?

I love the creative wit that comes from WrA!

That’s as close to a happy Valentine’s Day as I get.

Cheers y’all!

I’ve already done that. Now I want to profit by renting out space for Orc characters to show up and tell us what the problem is with this new Horde.

Oh, like an Air BnB!

I suppose we can rent it out as a fancy couple’s AirBnB and charge an absolutely absurd amount in cleaning and other made-up fees. Let me call up my goblin accountant.

If its a couples they are gunna earn every bit of that cleaning fee.

…let me also call up my goblin fumigator and cleaning crew. D:

Full hazmat, ideally armed with flamethrowers.

Renting out the forums is a mistake.

I’ve worked in hotels, just saying. You know what you are talking about.

Ah, yes, the general public. Nothing like going in to clean and finding a treasure trove of ‘human residue’ in places where no earthly force should have allowed them to reach.

Oh boy, here I go ranting again! Fun fact, I can't speak for the Americans, but down here in Oz, we have an unofficial black list between caravan parks and the like where, if you're an absolute animal, to the staff, to the other customers or just generally filthy beyond all normality, you're put up there with reason and evidence.

After three strikes, you’re formally put on the List, and you’ll find yourself facing ‘we’re already booked up’, ‘we can’t accommodate your vehicles and caravan’ and similar excuses. No amount of money is worth putting up with Grey Nomads, Seagulls, Euro Back-Packers and Uncivil Servants, and watching them get more and more desperate and panicky as they keep screeching that nobody will take them on their trips and they’re forced to camp by the side of the road, or in rest stops which they’re legally not allowed to do anymore due to their own shenanigans, will never not return a smile to my face. Karma is a fair but unflinching mistress, sometimes.

Please show some compassion to the employees and cleaners, God knows the Karens, Kevins and Managers don’t …

We get people wandering in here on accident all the time, though. Shouldn’t we profit from the tourism?

I won’t give you the lint in my pocket as rent unless I have proof that you are providing chairs.

Just as an unwanted aside here, but I worked for a company that is known to have random property inspections of franchise locations (at least one unannounced one a year). And during those inspections they will do a black light inspection of guest rooms. Yeah, some of them go just like you are thinking they would go. It’s both fascinating and horrifying at the same time.

Huh? Can somebody throw me a… wait… nevermind. Dammit. I play a dwarf not a doctor.

Apologies. Now I’m picturing Horatio Laine walking around with a blacklight filtered lantern.

I should buy a new blacklight, my last one was yeeted into somebody’s head after I was doing the whole “Stop blackmailing me via my mother to show up to your agonisingly self-indulgent family event” routine and accidentally exposed a member of the extended family for having an affair.

Turns out blacklight works on clothes as well, and if you’ve both ducked out ‘for a smoke’, and you walk into an empty room where I’m showing off some of the tools I use at work, you’ll light right up. Especially if you’ve got matching UV stains…

Hahahahahahaha!
