exactly opposite of everything you just said. lol.
I cant tell the future. Give me REACTIONARY healing every time.
and of course its YOUR fault if they chain pull and you have no opportunity to eat and mana up a bit, lmao.
I just bail on them the first sign of irritation where its something THEY are causing with their bad game play.
I love the stress when its just part of the game, but when the do it knowing theyre doing it they can find someone else to irritate.
No its not read what I said. Know when dmg is about to happen and pre dr, hots. Know when burts are coming out for major cds.
Healing reactionary is horrible. Giving DR, hots after the dmg event has happen is what? You get so much more value having it set up before the dmg effect hence why DR is more important than hps.
You can totally tell whatâs going to happen as boss, mob mechanics are set to timers.
Think it depends on the healer you play. Resto and disc priests have to play premptively because of hots set up and ramp but besided DRs(cause like you said they dont do stuff after the hit) the other healers can get away with just knowing when the large raid cooldown type abilities are gonna come in and reacting the rest of the time.
Really you need a mix of both, you can know all the boss timers but your not gonna know when a dps is gonna side step into the bosses tank cone so now you need to spam the tank(premptive) and them(reactionary)
So when it comes to the dps I agree with you and you do need some reactionary gameplay for that. But for the tank cone attack in your scenario again thats proactive.
Example. You know tank cone goes off in 1.9 seconds for big amount of dmg and you are not a DR/hot class then you would start your big 2 second cast heal so that .1 second after the hit the tank is fine allowing you to heal up the dps that side stepped into it. Proactive gameplay.
Bad advice. Thereâs nothing to heal on the lower end.
Plus people chain pull entire leveling dungeons, and youâre both going to wipe a lot and not really get an idea of how to play anyway.
? chain pulls only happen because the average does not wipe.
This isnât even a sentence. What? lol
Whatâs hard to understand about it? The average group does not encounter such difficulties.
Iâm only willing to continue this conversation if you want to do it cam to cam shirtless. Also, if ice cream can be involved somehow it would be preferable.
troll elsewhere.
I was 100% serious.
Healium, for one, via Curseforge just to be safe.
oh wow, thatâs horrible.
While this is true, for both you and I, adds, bosses, they have a set of things they can do, bosses have phases, you at least have an idea of whatâs doing to happen.
I know that I need to be getting Renewing Mist out and and make sure I have Rising Sun Kick up, maybe even Thunder Focus Tea for a shorter cooldown on it, and possibly be ready to pop Chi-Ji with the 2 Infinite Proto-Drakes right after the gauntlet in Rise, especially on Fortified weeks. I know that pulsing damage they do is going to be rough, so I proactively set my self up to react to the damage.
Thatâs the thing though, some healers do more reactive while others do more proactive, but itâs not uncommon for them all to have a sort of set up. Reversion, a Preservation Evoker spell, is reactionary heal, especially with Golden Hour. I think Disc Priest is considered a proactive healer, but I donât know Disc well enough to really talk about it.
I donât know what it is, but tanking as my beloved PLD in FFXIV is super relaxing.
use weakauras to track stuff.
gtfo to help to not stand in stuff when youâre zoning out on health bars.
blizzards new mouse over healing works quite well and I actually prefer their raid frames.
Logitech g600 or a RZR Naga are super useful tools for a healer.
perhaps an orb weaver or nostromo keypad if youâre feeling froggy.
Mouseover macros (a default UI option) are nice so you can keep the enemy targeted while healing.
Imo all the addons just cause clutter. I like just using the default raid frames using class colors. Use raid frames in a 5 man party because the party frames are bad and too spread out.
I like having them below my toon so I can easily watch the party health and if Iâm standing in bad, but that is a personal preference.
Canât use them. My hands are huge (26cm across) and I need a big mouse. I tried a naga once and i just couldnât push the needed buttons on the side effectively.
I use a Corsair uh, Ironclaw i think?
