Healing Spells vs. Stats

I’m 2 months into playing WoW for the first time, so I’m still learning. Recently, I got two helm drops, both of which sound like great holy pally gear. Which should I choose for my healing kit: the one with +10 intellect and +9 stamina, or the one with +37 healing spells? I’m assuming the latter, but I’m not sure how “healing spells” compares to stats.

+healing literally increases healing by a flat amount. So say, every flash of light rank will heal that much more. Intellect adds mana and spell crit. In your case I would probably go with +37 healing helm, as it is a lot of +healing for your level. It can probably make your lower rank Flash of Light almost as effective for 30% less mana.

+healing doesnt work 100% with lower ranks of heals. For every lower rank of a spell, the + stat is reduced by a certain amount. If it did, you’d could have +1200 healing and only use rank 1 FoL to have infinite mana, unfortunately doesn’t work this way. BUT it still worthy at certain levels as gear progess and u get other ranks of spells.
