This is probably beating a dead horse but… Farseer is seeing a lot of nice changes going into Season 2. But Blizzard seems to have missed a big mark for why people don’t play it, and that’s Healing Rain
You sink so many globals and so much cast time into a spell that does largely pitiful healing. After you play Totemic where it’s instant and lasts 24 seconds you really don’t want to go back.
For people to switch to Farseer it would need to be turbo broken numerically and it won’t be. I just think if Blizzard is interested in raising awareness of Farseer, changes should be made to healing rain. Either making it instant cast since Totemic has a stronger instant cast, moveable version anyway and cast times are usually relative to spell strength. Or make it last longer, same cooldown, but you can only have 1 out. So like 10 second CD, 20 second duration, can only have 1.
Additionally:
Within this same vein I think that Unleash Life should increase the Healing of Healing Rain/Downpour by 40% instead of increasing the target count by 2.
Numerically this should be the same but for Farseer at the moment you sort of want to press Unleash Life then Healing Rain so you have your little buddy out for the Healing Rain cast, but that increases the target count which is literally useless in M+.
You can ofc cast Healing Rain then Unleash Life but it’s clunky doing it that way and is basically making your combos less effective strictly to avoid a talent that should probably just be altered to be useful in both forms of content.
