We’ve legit been coasting off the same 2 runes since level 25. (PoM, Circle OR Penance.) Everything else is mediocre. Nothing is interesting. Everything is boring. LITERALLY 2 OF OUR TIER PIECE SET BONUSES ARE THE SAME THING.
There was so much to choose from. Holy Words exist. Smart heal Lightwell exists. Feathers exist. Mass Dispel exists. Power Word: Life exists. Symbol of Hope (cooldown reduction version) exists. Apotheosis (can just empower holy/disc spells) exists.
Since you’re doubling down on Disc (more on that in a sec) why not some form of Light’s Wrath that heals every target with Weakened Soul. Why not some form of Ultimate Penitence? Or jesus christ at LEAST let us have access to Pain Suppression. Dispersion is a must for mana so I can’t use my cooldown runes, yay. At LEAST reorganize the runes so we have an actual toolkit.
Speaking of Dispersion and mana regen, how the hell do you expect a bargain bin WOTLK shield spam priest to function without Rapture? Shields off cd but no mana regen mechanic that made it possible. On a side note, you literally picked the worst version of disc priest to ever exist and doubled down badly.
Also Binding Heal is like a slap in the face. It has no practical use outside of pvp and even then time to kill is objectively 1-2 seconds. Here again, you’re better off with the instant shield spam. Dead rune.
This is just so bad. I am trying to play this game despite the fact that it is utterly cratering. I am TRYING. Can you please at LEAST make this interesting.

It’s been incredibly frustrating watching literally every class get new fun stuff to use every phase and being stuck as a holy priest. When I bring it up in forums im flamed instantly that Holy is strong and Im just complaining. Yes I’m complaining…2 buttons is boring as hell and has been since 25.
The fact that EVERY rune we have received for healing since 25 has been a PASSIVE effect rune is the most lazily contrived BS I’ve ever seen in a game’s design period. No, I’m not counting the joke that is Spirit of redemption. Gtfo out of here with that hot garbage. Then they take our regen rune and completely gatekeep pain suppression?
Because they are just throwing a dart at a board with priest abilities unawares (somehow) of how those abilities actually functioned in a build. E.g. the shield runes we get with the terrible version of shield we’ve had the entire time they were trying to passive it to death.
Both of these rune choices leave my Holy priest DoA at p4 launch; even If i make it to p4. What is the actual incentive to heal on a priest? I will be using the EXACT same rotation as I was at 25 AGAIN; for a 4th phase. They are yet again two uninspired and terrible choices. Binding heal by virture is just god awful outside of anything but pvp. Its a clunky mechanic that really isnt fun to use.
Its a damn flash heal…comeon. Like you said without rapture bubble spam is just going to be terrible and yet again…un-effing-inspired. Its like they honestly get through every class first and save priest for last…then toss in some BS HA runes they picked out of a broken bingo spinner. I literally give up. Ive only logged on to raid for the 45 minutes it takes to clear st…last two weeks the guild hasnt been able to get 10 ppl to sign in. were basically dead. With dawntrail coming out I dont really see a reason to hope for better and If my choices are dawntrail or GD binding heal…well…bye blizzard
No it isnt but it is especially bad for holy. It’s been literally the same build and abilities since 25. There has been zero change to how it’s played. People have dismissed people posting about it because the spec performs but its boring and has been.
