There are a few classes out there with some self healing issues. Rather than going through the effort of rebalancing, adding new abilities, etc. Why not just take healing pots off the
shared potion CD, and reduce them to something like 3 min.
Maybe then the prices of them would be higher than vendor price, and classes with limited self heals would have something to use when poop hits the fan?
Healing pots already don’t share a cd with battle pots.
The value of healing pots tends to vary proportionately with how “bursty” the content is, and how hard Blizz has hammered healers in the most recent balancing.
It’s been a long time since their value depended on the actual cost to make them.
Half of your wish is granted, healing potions already don’t share a cooldown with combat potions.
They heal for a lot and are cheap, players should be using them liberally.
