Oki here’s my dilemma/question as a non healer class who’s only healing ability has a 2 min cool down Why can we only use ONE AND ONLY ONE Healing potion while in combat? I have not seen a single Healing potion that is going to make any difference between dead/nodead if I really need one. Why isn’t the GCD on Healing Potions functional while in combat? The 30 sec GCD most defiantly wouldn’t make a Healer’s function useless.
Because potions were being abused in Vanilla and Burning Crusade. People were taking stacking them to cheese fights. So now all potions have a shared cooldown of 1 per combat and a minute when out of combat.
It is a shame that a more dynamic solution wasn’t developed at the time. I guess they didn’t have the technology then.
I am going to guess because in Diablo, when people would pvp they would endlessly spam health and/or mana potions. The fight boiled down to who could attack and drink the fastest and was no fun.
As I said before keep the cool down to negate the spamming of rapid healing because as they stand now why do we even have them in the game? For the same reason why we still have the Artifacts maybe? (they do make great paper weights)
