My Holy Priest is 267 ilvl. I am following AutomaticJak’s guide verbatim. 1st stage is NOT possible even when playing perfect. It needs to be tuned down.

Ngl after having beat it back in Legion the punishment for failure is too high for me to work up the will to beat the healer challenge again, mount or no mount. Oh you made it to the last room and messed up the low hp mechanic? Have fun climbing back up through all the RP again.

Right there with you. I will never get that spellbook after the PTSD from the healer challenge in Legion. And I’m bitter that they put my spellbook behind these challenges. I blame all the people that voted for that stupid tree.

The book and the slime cat were both better than the tree!
At least the tower is up forever now so it’s there to attempt whenever. I just… can’t yet and I don’t see that changing for a long time. I wish you had gotten the book

Already they said about 75% of people who attempt it get by third try. It likely needs to be buffed in difficulty.
I am not a bad healer by no means. I have multiple AOTC’s and am a 2k+ pvper in 3s. I am not stupid. I have done everything in the video to the T. Raw healing output is not enough to past stage 1
Holy priest one is Overtuned compared to other healers. Mage does 50% of your hp in 1 cast before it’s even able to be dispelled. Also wanna see something funny? Take every healer into the challenge and do 1 attack on the Npc so the fight starts properly, watch the npcs die fastest/do the worst in holy priest. Stand still do nothing bar the first attack.

Just curious, but what gear etc is your priest equipped with for it? I understand gear has a fair bit of relevance. Plus you need to buff yourself as much as possible with enchants, food, drinks etc.
I mean I believe in you and I’d be rooting for you no matter how many attempts it took but I get where you’re coming from. When I started the healer challenge in Legion I had never healed in my entire WoW life. I didn’t even have addons for it. I managed to do it after… A LOT of salt.
If you ever decide to go for it I am sure that you’ll get it. Just be ready to pay the salt mine supervisor.

Is this for the Priest mog or just working on book mount 7/7 progress? If it’s the latter, just swap to a throwaway Pally alt, spend some gold to get it geared up, and the challenge is noticeably easier.
That’s what I did anyways. I took advantage of the Christmas 2021 sale/special and even race-changed my Pally alt to Tauren just to get that AOE stomp-stun racial for phase 1 (literally)

I’ve done it in the first release. When Jak did it it was pre-nerf.
After nerf I did finish it quite smooth, still quite hard.
After that they nerfed it again and it actually was quite doable.
Pretty sure Mage tower is considered timewalking and scales your ilvl appropriately.
So actually gear level won’t equate to much.
Most set bonuses and legendaries etc are also deactivated. Not sure if that is also true of the current raid tier set.
Said it before and I’ll say it again.
Reactivate Artifacts while in Mage Tower and tune around them IMHO.
