Healing is miserable because of tanks currently

Every group im in healing every tank thinks he/she is superman. They pull these large pulls that that may or may not be able to handle properly. Then the aoe starts to go out and its alot to deal with. I get sometimes things get hairy, but every pull now?

I suggest making tanks take more single target damage while lightening AOE. This will slow tanks down on what they can pull and allow the group to fulfill its function. I’m just tired of normal dungeons feeling like mythics these days

Imo healing is miserable because of unavoidable AOE damage in keys…but other then that it’s fine, and tanks need to pull more always pull more…in normal and heroic I just want my bag as fast as possible

Well, start doing m+ maybe. Even one pack in higher keys can wipe party

Stop doing normal dungeons. They’re the worst.

If Henry Cavill can’t even make the cut, none of these scrubs will

Turns out when you do the easiest, most steam rollable content in the game, people tend to steam roll it.

I tend to just chain pull in pugs as it cuts down on the amount of wipes.

However the amount of times people pull extra for me is kind of nutty. CoS is really bad with this but RLP comes in a close second. I often start a pull with one pack and within 10 seconds I end up with 4-5 packs and need to use all of my own CD’s as well.

I wish I could say it was just low keys but people are doing this even in 10+.

can we just auto delete every character who whines about wanting the game to be balanced around normal dungeons?

I do think the amount of tank damage vs raid/party damage is a bit mismatched. Tank can pull 3 groups and be mostly fine and pull 40k HPS on themselves because the game literally babies tanks and makes them one-man armies.

But that doesn’t mean the rest of the group isn’t taking 100k DPS from mostly unavoidable AoE.

yes well, good tanks don’t pull more than the group can handle.

we shouldn’t balance the game around bad players.

FWIW, I think the bigger issue is just how much of the damage goes to the party vs the tank, rather than the tank being OP.

(But I do still think tank self sustain is way overtuned. They should’ve kept their 10% physical mitigation and had their self-healing/absorbs nerfed instead. It’s insane and we’re still in the first patch, it’ll only get worse.)

there’s a lot of group-wide damage, especially in non-coordinated groups that aren’t kicking or otherwise disrupting spells.

but healers wanted to heal :woman_shrugging:

This. There’s way too much unavoidable party wide damage. There are also too many mechanics that make you move every 2 seconds and too many mobs that are immune to CC. Why get rid of inspiring only to make all of the hard hitting enemies immune to stun?

Healers really never feel accountable, I notice.

Tanks may be a small part of the problem. It may be.

But there are 3 even more important reasons that clearly many choose to ignore.

  1. DPS that don’t use Silence/Stun. That significantly increases what the healer has to heal.
If DPS use Silence/Stun the healer will have more time to DPS and the key could be completed 3~5 minutes earlier.

  2. DPS and tank standing in fire.

  3. Damage impossible to avoid. In this expansion Blizzard put special emphasis on this.

Normally one only had to fight with 1 and 2, but if we add the number 3 then there is no way to save the situation.

And every consumable counts.
Warlock stone, Rank 3 life potion (it’s almost half a life bar), etc.

Stop blaming a single individual or role and start accepting reality.
Completing an M+ is group work.

I honestly found normal mode dungeons less pleasant than mythic ones. Even heroic is better. There are weird things happening in normal that don’t seem to exist in other modes.
