Healing holy pally in m+ pugs and questions

I’m looking for maximizing AoE healing in M+. This is because I’m new at healing with holy for pugs, so far using BoV talent + Awakening and AoE works okay. Shock Barrier helps too.

Is the Kyrian Divine Toll ability influenced by +crit% conduit gains to Holy Shock?

If I have 1 potency choice, and choose the Focused Light conduit (increasing HS crit%) would this be better for AoE than the Ringing Clarity conduit (chance for multiple HS on primary target). If Ringing Clarity is copied by BoV I can’t tell what is better. Or is Divine Toll its own spell and not duplicating HS?

Also are you all using Mikanikos as soulbind to get his last ability Hammer of Genesis for the +15% haste? Does that trigger if you just lay down Consecration?

BoV is fine, I wouldn’t become overly reliant on it and learn to use Glimmer instead. BoV is niche for certain M+ affixes. Early on it seems like the better talent but as you move up your group mates generally become less inclined to breath through their mouths (the main reason you’d want to run BoV).

Generally for M+ Ringing Clarity is the go to, HS conduit isn’t much behind. The opposite can be said for raids.

Kleia is the Soulbind you want if your renown is maxed

Not sure why it had me as my alt shaman

i just switched to venthyr yesterday but before i always used the ringing clarity and i know that whenever i hit bov and used divine toll it was a full heal on everyone. not sure if its the same without ringing clarity tho

thanks for explaining, yeah having 2-3 people needing constant healing is what I’m experiencing

I know this isn’t quite what you asked for, but maximizing AoE healing is often the wrong way to go for hpal in M+. Instead, you should often just heal by triage. Even when 2-3 people are getting low, you usually handle that by throwing three ST heals. If it’s a panic situation, pop wings so that every WoG will be a huge bomb that probably crits.

I believe Divine Toll does benefit from the Holy Shock conduit, but Ringing Clarity is often better. It lets you send the target back to full health, and gives you even more beacon healing. It also makes it a decent ST attack if you need to burst something down.

BoV is sometimes worth it on Grievous or Bursting weeks, but giving up your tank beacon is a big sacrifice. The Glimmer effect itself is nice too, but keeping your beacon is the real perk of playing Glimmer.

I haven’t tried this, but I’d rather have Kleia’s +5% crit all the time than +15% haste for ten seconds in each pack.
