I use the basic UI and it’s not been a problem.
Why not?
Spirit link totem heals them from 1% to 99% instantly, making the second or third set of treants incredibly easy.
Odd, I just keyboard turn towards them, click the unit/add or player or w/e im healing, then mouse over my spell to click it until the thing is healed, and rinse and repeat for all adds individually.
Using a major 3m cd on adds. Wonderful.
Who else has to use a 3m cd on adds which also doesnt heal the raid?
And chain heal will basically never jump to them.
mashing chain heal runs you oom instantly homie. bad to use that anyway
I didnt say anything about mashing chain heal.
ok so its gonna be one of those conversations. im out, you can just sit in here and be unhappy then. adios bud.
I pointed out that chain heal doesnt skip to them.
You came back with a straw man rebuttal about mashing chain heal to go OOM.
There are plenty of times to hit chain heal, like when you have High Tide up. If you want to dip out because your entire argument is making up my playstyle, then go for it. Its better for both of us.
You pointed out that you don’t like what is obviously using the worst possible spell to heal them is something that bothers you, while ignoring the fact that shamans have many other spells to deal with it in an effort to be negative, then wanted to backtrack and play technicality on words when I called you out on it, but since you’re too butthurt to realize that you said something stupid and will never admit it, THAT’S why I’m dipping out. Cry harder or reroll another class. IDC. It’s your life.
This isn’t a new mechanic. It may not be used often, but it isn’t the first time healers have had a non raid/party member to deal with. You probably want mouseover macros (since those can work no matter what UI setup you are going with).
Except that isnt what happened, at all.
I notated that our main group healing spell does not heal this group of adds, within the context of comparing other healing options other healers have.
Chain heal is only the worst possible spell to heal them with…because it doesnt bounce to them. Using a high tide chain heal would be great otherwise.
Yes, I have other options. Yes. I use them. But because I have other worse options, doesn’t mean I cant get annoyed that what should be an ideal option does not work well in this mechanic.
I am not back tracking. I am not doing a play on technicality on words. I never once said anything about spamming chain heal to go OOM. Chain heal is a great spell for raiding. It should be a good tool to use, just like all of our other tools.
Your only suggestion was to use a major healing cd in a handicapped way that no other healer is pressured to do. Once again, while that is a tool, it feels a bit unfairly slanted.
You are more than welcome to dip out…again. Because, once again. You are assuming words I stated. I didn’t know I would have to break this down to the bare basics to explain to you, but you wanted to make this personal.
Ya, I just don’t need heal frames for it. It’s not hard.
That’s not meant to be condescending. I just position right
Mouseover macros have the issue that if you combine them with a dps spell and want to be using a dps spell and somebody’s body moves over your cursor, you will cast the healing spell on them. Ultimately, it is why I switched to clique. Adding npcs that need to be healed to an extra frame (like an extra group that functions like party or raid frames) is something they should have done years ago but especially this patch.
I’ve run into that with Living Flame but so far Ive been doing ok with it.
