I’ve played WoW for a while, but I have never healed. I’m planning to start healing with this Paladin and am looking for tips to set myself up for success.
My main question is what addons I should use. I downloaded Clique, and it seems extremely helpful, but I’m not sure exactly how I should set it up for the most efficient configuration.
Should I use a raid frames addon? I’ve tried them before on DPS characters, but I’ve never been able to set them up properly. I hear about Healbot and Vuhdo, but I’m not sure which of those is better, of if I should use something else (or nothing at all).
I welcome all input and thank you in advance!
I do not use any “healing” addons
i use z perl raid frames, and i use mouseover macros, but that is about it.
I can see everything i need to know in the raid frames

Healium is basic , but if the raid gets too large it can be a headache
Healcomm, like it better than Healbot personally, but those are all I’ve tried. It’s a bit more lightweight.
I’d suggest VuhDo. I think there’s a version for classic.
Make sure to get PallyPower Classic, and keep it regularly updates. Also bug any Paladins you regularly run with to keep up with updating their addons (the Twitch client is pretty helpful for that).
It’s a very good addon for coordinating blessings with other Paladins.
Pally Power and Healcomm is pretty much all you need.
Pally power let’s you single click raid buff everyone after someones sets it up for the raid. If you aren’t in charge all you have to do is click once for each class group.
Healcomm shows inbound heals to help avoid over healing and allow better sniping - which will be critical in raid healing situations.
Mouse over macros are helpful for some folks.
Built in UI is plenty for raid frames, enable class colors, and show only dispellable debuffs - pretty much good to go. Use raid frames for all groups

I prefer Vuhdo. Extremely powerful and customizable. Absolutely love it once you get it configured to your taste.

Healbot user here. Have tried all the others mentioned and always come back to healbot.

Thanks for the replies. I downloaded Pally Power, Healcomm, and Clique. I’ll start there and see if that works. If I feel something is missing, I think I’ll try Vuhdo for the simple fact that it appears available on the Twitch client. Not sure if Healbot is.
Thanks again!
That is all I use. I don’t need addons when healing. The raid frames (which I place center screen near my character) show each player as a rectangle. Then it is very easy to use the mouse to select people.
I personally hate mouseover healing. I prefer healing the selected player, while moving my mouse to select a different one a moment after casting this heal.
BUT I only heal dungeon groups. A level-60 raid healer has a much more difficult job than me, so maybe they use different methods (and addons).
kinda confused on this part, as that is mostly how my mouseover healing is set up except i dont need to click on the frame, just point at it and hit the appropriate keybind, then move mouse to the next person needing something.
I can keep the MT hard targeted and then mouseover debuff his target as needed etc.
