Recently finding myself in a position I’d like to heal more. Many years ago I something called HealBot. Just curious what folks are using these days.
I use mouseover macros and the default raid frames to heal people.
For addons you should use weakauras, big debuffs, and battlegroundenemies at the minimum.
I was hearing that one was having issues ever since devs stopped updating it?
it’s doing fine now, for a while at start of season it was having issues with the new trinkets they had added but it hasnt had issues with spamming chat log in a while
and yeah bge/weakauras/omnibar/diminish are good starting points
you should definitely have omnibar to track kicks and other cds
shouldnt need any healing specific addons. mouseover macros for default raid frames is plenty. clicking frames to heal is miserable
I find myself asking the same question whenever I pop into a random bg as a restro Druid I just heal without any addons
Sometimes that’s the best way to play. No crutches.
Vuhdo for frames and click-casting. Tellmewhen for tracking CDs. Battlegroundenemies for analyzing or targeting enemy team. Rest is keybinds. I have Omnibar for tracking kicks but I don’t think it’s set up well and I never pay attention to it.
Click-casting with clique or vuhdo works fine for BGs but it can be a bad habit to settle into if you plan on doing arena. There you’ll want to adapt to using arena1,2,3 for targeting and all keybinds.
Thanks, I put on my training wheels last night and gave Vuhdo a try and must say this is what I was looking for.
I don’t use any specific addons for healing per se either. I do use a few for pvp in general tho. Big debuffs, omni and bge. I also have the saysapped one but not sure why, not like the teammates stick around
Sorry @Battlemaster, I click frames
Vuhdo is pretty popular for PvE and BG healing. I’m so used to setting it up now that it takes no time at all, but the first time is kind of confusing and I spent like an hour changing things to get the frames the way I wanted.
