Hi all,
I’m looking to shake things up a bit and roll a healer for SL. Never truly mained a Healer before. Looking to try something different for me in the game.
So…This is my dilemma. Many days I work LONG hard hours in a stressful environment. I often can come home partially brain dead and wanting to just ‘auto’pilot and unwind with a BG or whatever content I choose. (PvE or PvP).
I would like a healer that is fairly idiot or fatigue proof. No finicky or complex healing rotation. VERY cut and try straightforward. Something I can still play and have moderate success with even when faced with being mentally fatigued.
So far I’ve tried out the RESTO Shammy. And If I’m well rested I do good on (first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee)
However, if I’m at all tired,or mentally fatigued I struggle massively on keeping up with just the basic heals let alone having utilize my other very important tool kit abilities such as interrupts, purge, totems, ect. All these are powerful, and necessary but can be mentally taxing to juggle when Im very tired.
In order to save me from having to try out every healer, can someone please point me in the right direction and rank the healer from least to most difficult to heal with?
(Again I do both some PVE stuff and PvP as this is going to be my main in SL)
Ty!
Hpriest and MW monk are the easiest by far

I just boosted my hpriest and thought I was doing pretty well with it… ouch
i mean no offense friend .
i personally think saying disc is megamind right now is like saying assass is megamind
rsham/disc/rdruid all have significant game changing utility though so their skill caps will always be distinct even if most of their reputations have gotten completely obliterated by bfa
hpals really thrive in fast metas when quick reactions with your blessings lets you do aggressive things opportunistically but skillcap wise really fall off in hpal-viable damp metas
good mws really only move better than other mws or do fundamental things like pre things better while spending less mana than their peers
i think overall (not right now specifically)
rdruid
rsham
disc
hpal
mw

I agree my list isn’t insinuating anything takes 932 iq to play as there isn’t anything left in the game that requires something like this
I’m not delusional enough to think that fearing off of sheep or trap is omegabrain just that the amount of input to succeed is higher on disc or rdru vs hpala or mw
also I had fun Qing into u and murpi turbo it is unfortunate that u are good at kicking but im allowed to tank 40 of them bc it saves me time just eating them than juking them

id like to know why hpriest is the “easiest”. Is it solely because of gheal? because there are a lot of 2000 iq abilities you can manipulate
I can’t wait till Vendes sees this.

I was working on a response but im driving for work rn so ill let someone else do it sori
short answer is no it isn’t the easiest healer bc of greater heal but that is a part of the problem
and all of the holy “2000 iq abilities” are the same abilities disc uses mostly except easier to use
Mistweaver is what you’re looking for. Easiest healing class in the game.

I’ve never played a Hpriest before, never realized they were purportedly so ‘easy’ to play.
It’s sounding like most people would recommend the class I’m looking for Would be a MW monk or an Holy Preist?
In SL hpriest has different toolkit than live and might be a bit harder with death. I would say try out diff healers in ptr and see.

Kanstilxo- What didn’t you like about the Hpriest? I’m looking for a point and shoot healer.
EX: Not like RESTO Shammy where I’m having to juggle things tidal wave procs and flash flood procs, totems, purging, ect… just click and heal. Easy and straightforward that it basically can’t be screwed up. Think ‘the DH’ of healers. Lol.
Mw or hpal
holy priest has relied entirely on gimmicks for 4 xpacs

Only thing I’ll say about maining Hpriest is that you might find yourself in situations where you’re asked/forced to play Disc. At least with MW the spec is what it is and is your only healing option so you have some peace of mind that you can just practice the spec and try to do well regardless of its strength.

i love my hpriest, probably more than my MW honestly. its really fun.
What i dont enjoy is my greater heal being my only real good healing option. forced into taking it. and most of the spells being raid AoE focused, so greater heal feels like it was chucked in as a last resort to make it somewhat viable single target pvp.
Honestly, just find a good group to q arenas with. Focus on just your healing rotation and keeping people alive. Then when that is second nature move on to other utility spells/trading defensives, then move on to offensive damage when bursting. Don’t try to do it all at once, rsham in SL looks like a good healer with strong casted heals so you could get away without using utility and having fun

I just picked up healing this patch. My vote is mw for a low thought input healer.
MW is about as straight forward and beginner friendly as it gets. You don’t have a lot of buttons. It’s easy to pump mega heals and has fun cc with rop/song, incap, and legsweep. Stay max range and learn how to pillar because you will die in stun swaps. If you’re wanting to learn how to heal then I’d vote mw.
Hpal is also pretty easy right now with ineffable. You just hit a cooldown when something bad is happening and ineffable keeps those cooldowns ready. It does have a few more buttons than mw tho and you need to know which cooldowns are best for each situation or you end up overlapping which is a big no no.
mw will teach you the pillar game while hpal teaches you how to use your cds effectively.
