Healers in pvp

Feel like this has been a problem for the last few expansions where some healers just heal so much that theres no point in attacking them. many times have i been chasing a healer in arenas or bgs or wpvp and even if i can get them to stand still for a few seconds the damage i do means nothing because they can just go back to full health or while i’m busy trying to take them down i’m being mowed down by someone else.

That’s kinda the point, though.

If healers are not dying or healing to much that’s a dps problem not the healers. Can blame a healer for playing the spec well but you can blame the dps for not shutting him down from freecasting all day and if a healer has healed a lot good for him but its the dps’s fault for letting him. TARGET THE HEALERS AND INTERUPT. I say it over and over again and it becomes frusterating when healers do sit back and are allowed to heal all day. Healers aren’t the problem its the dps.

Also I see you are on a DK, take another dps and partner up and target/chain see a healer. I guarantee he wont be a problem anymore. But make sure the other dps are doing the same off CCn the other healers too.

Only thing wrong with healers is the dmg they can do other then that they aren’t that bad

i only arena with my friends and theyre dps, any time im vsing an atleast decently good/geard healer they just dont die its ridiculous. I think its an inbalance with raids and pvp honestly since healers need to be able to keep up with the damage raid bosses can dish out.

Healers are balanced around healing raid groups. Dps classes are balanced around absolutely nothing except pro PvP players.

People don’t want to recognize that healers are the most broken overpowered they have been in several expansions and I think we as a community need to spread awareness to blizzard so that they nerf healing in PvP by at least 25%.

The ability pruning and gcd changes have indirectly made healers god tier this expansion. There’s simply no reason, you’re right, in even attacking them right now because by the time you have gotten a few globals off to set up your damage, they are already popping heals and defensives.

The game is lacking that fast paced feel it once had. This has made healers obnoxious and broken. They just don’t die.

Healing was broken up to WoD. MoP had at least a 40% healing debuff in BG’s.

3 out of 4 healers are currently above average or below atm.

For most healers, yes, but it doesn’t work so well with rdruids… you’ve gotta watch them like a hawk to catch that minuscule window in which they’re using something with a cast time, and when they finally do pray that they’re not just faking you out.

In all honesty, the only healers I find myself having issues with are RDruids, due to their mobility, Thorns (Almost everything in Fury’s rotation hits multiple times, and every hit triggers Thorns) and difficulties in finding things to actually interrupt.

Rest I can generally keep up with and keep applying pressure until I can pop CDs and try to burst them down, provided their team doesn’t peel for them.

Today in WM myself and a Spriest were getting ready to down a rare in Naz when a Pally and Rdruid swooped in and tagged it first. Whatever, no biggie. We will just have to kill them and take the rare right? Wrong. With my silences and stuns staying on CD, we were not able to kill the Rdruid. He was able to not only keep himself alive, but successfully keep the Paladin fighting the Rare alive as well.

Something is severely imbalanced here. Should I be able to Solo a healer? Absolutely not. Should 2 DPS players focusing a healer be able to kill a healer? YES. I’m not a god level player, but I consider myself above average. While I can’t speak for the priest I was with, my damage meter said he was consistently pulling 14k DPS. Combined with my 18k dps that druid should have been toast.

If two people can’t kill a healer then they are bad ,it takes two dps to kill a healer .If there’s another healer healing him then it will take longer or 3 people .

We can kill him. Eventually. Assuming there are no others around to interfere. With the right comp it would have been easy. Mage + Rogue for example. But how about the rest of us?
