Bromac, Altairus, dargrul, and forge master garok are currently the hardest bosses IMO as a healer.
Hardest trash mobs would have to be either executor of the caliphs (there are two in one pull right before asaad. Screw that last pull), the young storm dragon (icy buffet for 1 million damage to the whole party), and the glacial dragons from infusion halls.
What are your top pics for trash and bosses and why?
3rd boss of VP, 3rd boss of HoI, 3rd boss of UR (only if the DPS can’t master not walking into balls), and 3rd boss of NL are the only bosses I dread.
Probably third boss in Halls of Infusion on tyrannical. 170k hps on that boss with nothing to help slow the damage (ie poison cleansing for worm guy in NL, curse dispel for last boss neltharus, etc). A comp with good off healing helps a lot though like vampiric embrace, AMZ, etc.
It’s a very fun healer fight though, no annoying mechanics just blast hps mostly. But I’d say it’s one of the harder healer checks as you get higher up in key levels.
Worm boss in NL would be my next pick. Not as bad since you can have ways to poison dispel via other classes which helps reduce damage a lot. If you don’t have that it’s wild though
Altairus isn’t bad if your group does it right so I wouldn’t say it’s too hard.
Last boss of NL was impossible on a 20 first week before they nerfed it. We wiped in a 17 that first week for an hour with a comp that had no off healing, and the highest key completed that week was a 17 lmao. So this was probably the worst until hotfixes.
Yep. This one. I dont plan on going back there. Ive got my AotC. Maybe if my key rolls into it on my way to a +20 portal I’ll consider it, but that dungeon feels like a gauntlet designed to punish healers specifically.
Uldaman has my hair falling out, especially snake where dps just get hit by bleed and decide to save their healthstone, healing potion and personal defensive abilities until they’re at 8% health.
It probably has the highest sustained HPS requirement of any boss this season. Other bosses at least have some downtime where you can try and catch up if you fall too far behind. And that’s not even counting if someone gets hit by an avoidable mechanic (assuming it doesn’t one-shot them).
I don’t mind the fight. It’s tough, but it feels good to do it well. That wind dragon boss in VP on the other hand… That one wouldn’t be so bad if not for the “whoops, you can’t cast for a few seconds” mechanic.
I guess I didn’t know this. I haven’t run it on a high key yet and our healer is extremely over geared as well as being a great player but its something I’ll watch out for. Thanks.
You probably know this but you should jump in the tornado to avoid the rings. It prevents the silence. Of course you are probably talking about the lost time moving during the fall.
