I’ve been chilling doing bg’s for fun. Healers are WAY more robust than ever in this patch. Being able to both deal damage and heal at a substantial level.

Yes, the extra health, reduction on interrupts and CC along with no dampening in BGs make them hard to kill.
Not sure on the damage part though.
I think the problem is that the 25% nerf on critical only applies to dmg, healing critical is unchanged.
They need to also nerf healing criticals.

Sounds perfect, that means you get a healer that doesn’t get globaled on your team! All is good in the world
I think you should nerf healers some more in pvp. Healer participation isn’t low enough yet.
I still think the game would be in a better place if healers were a bit more dependent on peels and assistance from their team rather than face-tanking DPS as it was before arena.
Cross-healers in premades against PUG healers is pretty much a guarantee of a one-sided boring matchup.
Healer participation is fine in random BGs. It’s a problem in solo shuffle, because in solo shuffle healers do actually need help from their team mates due to dampening.
Tell that to every healer who stopped healing forever because pugs don’t help their healers. Getting killed by 1-2 dps makes the healing experience miserable, we should 100% be tanky. You CC heals and kill their DPS, basics of bgs
Shouldn’t be able to get killed by one DPS, sure… but two, yes. I understand PUGs not helping to peel for you as a healer (I do, of course, but then again I am amazed at the number of DPS who don’t use friendly nameplates to know when people around them are in trouble) but on the flip side of that try getting PUGs to actually CC chain cross-healers to win fights as you suggested.

Healers in PvP are balanced around dampening and there is no dampening in BGs.
It’s mostly disc priests. They will tank 4 players forever with instant casts, but they can’t heal others like that.
Don’t kill them. CC them and kill their friends.
Only thing you should bother interrupting is penance.
I mean if healers are squishy, you die anytime 2 people get on you and you have no control over who peels for you that’s a bad experience where you can’t control the outcome
If healers are tanky and people aren’t CCing heals/killing DPS thats a bad experience because of something they CAN control the outcome and just aren’t
Making healers hate their lives is not the play here. We want to promote having good healers not making them all leave the game
Dampening is meant to keep arena games from lasting long. It is not meant to make healers counter dampening as it will defeat the purpose of dampening.
Healer participation isn’t cuz they can’t heal enough. Most players in PvP play dps not healers. If 4 dps Q up and 1 healer Qs up then the game isn’t going to happen. Hence why healers basically get insta queues comparatively speaking. Buffing Healer survivability may alleviate stress on the player over all but it causes a disconnect with DPS players. There are 3 targets I can go on but a healer ain’t one of them? I can CC a healer but as MM my CCs suck asscrack
Healers should be kept alive by themselves and their teammates. Not from purely giving healers so much power in both healing throughput and healer health.
I definitely don’t think healers should be squishy. I have a friend who plays nothing but healers but he is never queueing with another healer and it sucks for him when he is the only healer in the BG.
I see the issue of a PUG not peeling for their healer and a PUG breaking sheep on an enemy healer as similar issues.
That’s what it is right now. Healers aren’t unkillable gods right now, they still need peels to survive. If your team has 4 dps on 1 healer and can’t bring them down don’t blame the power of the healer, blame the dps for not knowing how to do damage/CC/gear their character
Against bad teams with low damage I can tank tons of dps. Against good teams with good damage and coordination I usually just get CCed and my friends die around me
Healers can actually heal without worrying about dying due to lack of teamwork as much. This is a problem… why?

doing this would then make ppl crying about no heals . Admit it you guys just want heals to instantly die . We can if you use interrupts and focus us down . Thats like saying nerf all tanks more . Because you keep trying to solo a tank instead of helping your team . STOP trying to solo healers .
