i would like to say this as politely as i possibly can, but everything you have said in this thread has been 100% incorrect.

Where have all the gamers
And where are all the gods?
Where’s the Keystone champion
To beat the group finders odds?
Isn’t there a Dracthyr, with wings of blazing speed?
Late at night, I refresh the the queue and dream of what I need!

I need an Augur!
I’m holding out for an Augur in the dead of the night.
He’s gotta be strong, with sky high io, and perfect uptime on Ebon Might!
I need an Augur!
I’m holding out for an Augur til the morning light.
With Prescience on lock, and clutch with the stops, he’s gotta be larger than life. Larger than life!

I tried lol.

I laughed SO HARD at this. You think the DPS died because the healer “didn’t do their job” and to fix this you want to remove the healer? LOLLLOOL

If someone dies it is often like 99% their fault. Did they use a defensive? A health potion? Stood in something 0.1 seconds before the “unavoidable damage”? Such a funny post.

Augur: noun. (in ancient Rome) a religious official who observed natural signs, especially the behavior of birds, interpreting these as an indication of divine approval or disapproval of a proposed action.

Good attempt though

I respect the hell out of people who can write music, even parody covers for songs, it’s crazy difficult.

I love Healing, I’ve Mained Holy Pally since Wrath.

Blizz, please just fix Healing so it’s a strong and valid option again.

Recalls back in grade school, I tried to write a parody of “I am the very model of a modern major general” about World of Warcraft raiding and the teacher read it in front of the entire class.

Karazhan and Shade of Aran rhyme.

Idk. If Augmentation remains how it is, we might as well rework every healer. Healer and Support shouldn’t be seperate roles (IMO anyway). I kinda get where you’re coming from when you say delete healing.

It’d be much easier to redesign Aug only though. Either way, somethings gotta give.

TWW healing is balanced much more traditionally and the dungeons are also (so far) less focused on mass cc.

People have huge health pools compared to healing/damage taken in the dungeons so the random one-shots arent nearly as prelevant and you spend much more time actually healing not just watching people die in between gcds and moving on.
Tank self sustain is also a little lower so your heals feel like theyre contributing to tank survival again, its pretty nice.

Theyre also experimenting with trinkets for healers again adding healer specific support and a damage only healer trinket for the first time so if you do want to lean into support a bit more it is an option.

Overall if youre a healer who likes to heal its pretty great right now on testing. Moving to full support seems like a bad idea as anything more then an optional hero tree gimmik.

why is that 90% or so of the people who complain about “healers aren’t needed” don’t play at a level where they actually don’t need healers

What gear level are they running for beta testing relative to the season (lfr norm heroic mythic)?

Wanted to my hand at writing a song with that theme, ended up writing something close enough. It’s about augmentation evokers, just not from the viewpoint of a player. Feel free to judge:

Where have all the good whelps gone and where are all the rods?
Where’s the next evoker to help me defy the odds?
Isn’t there a white scale able to stand the fiery heat?
Late at night, I toss and I turn
And I dream of what I need

I need a breakthrough
I’m holding out for success till the end of the night
He’s gotta be strong, and he’s gotta be fast
And he’s gotta be fresh from the fight
I need a breakthrough
I’m holding out for success till the morning light
He’s gotta be sure, and it’s gotta be soon
And he’s gotta be able to control life
Control life

Somewhere after midnight
In my wildest fantasy
Somewhere, just beyond my reach
There’s someone giving their power to me
Able to withstand the thunder
And the rising heat
Ebon might lifted me off my feet.

Deep in the mountains below
In where the earth splits the sea
I could swear there is someone, somewhere, watching me
Through the tremors and the quakes
And the void and shadow
I can feel his approach like a fire in my blood

I need a breakthrough

dungeons scale you down to 564, in content that drops 580 (and has the bonus 15% damage and healing cause its all queued content). There’s a bit of off scaling since everyone’s running with their tier bonuses and unbalanced trinkets but its pretty much a full set of fresh normal dungeon gear going into heroics.

With them delaying heroics for a week with the season it’s looking pretty good for overall scaling, they also lack a lot of the really annoying over complicated trash of DF so far.

Im spending fights almost 100% healing but not in a panick way. Plenty of breathing room.

Edit- For better perspective in beta my health went up to 3467k in normal dungeon gear from lives 1088k, and details has me at the highest hps check point doing 360k hps, from lives ~300k hps in dungeons. Heals and damage haven’t really scaled up much but health has massively.

Much more like an actual song than the reference cluster bomb I threw at the wall lol.

I wonder how many people have written fan songs about Neltharion or evokers.

Easy. Tanks can do all kinds of amazing things. Ever seen the stuff prot pallies could solo in TBC that would smush anyone else under one foot? Ever seen the dungeon soloing tricks later in like in BFA (okay, Twilight Devastation was broken, let’s be real here)? Or Brewmasters practically one-shotting elites and bosses in Torghast because HP buffs + TOD?

Tanks are gods.

Trouble is, there’s plenty of content where you just don’t really need a tank.

Queued content especially, where you can be literally stuck for longer waiting in queue FOR a tank than you could’ve possibly finished it without one.

Had it happen just like that lots of times. 25 minutes waiting for a healer or a tank and the run is done in 15 minutes or less. lol.

They dump the two roles, tune the game for all DPS, then we’re all in a lot faster and no one screaming at healers or tanks for stuff that likely isnt their fault.

Half the time I think people run as tanks, not because they want to be the shield for the group, but because the enjoy the invulnerability. Hardly team players.
Healers are usually good at being team players, but they also take heat for stupid crap DPS does to themselves.
