Healer shortage; are people getting desperate?

My alts are being invited to higher and higher keys with ease. I kinda like it. My ilvl is only 401 and a few weeks ago I’d be declined to a +5. But this week I got into a +8 without any issues on several low geared healers.

401 is more than enough for +8, but yeah, people get more desperate the more time the group spends without a healer. If you can apply for groups with 3 dps and 1 tank, or even just 3 dps, those are usually instant invites.

More then likely yes they are getting desperate as a lot of healers have stopped doing PuGs because a Multitude of reasons.

But if your curious as to why and have like 20 minutes found this video via Wowhead news earlier which tbh does a pretty good job of explaining the issues :dracthyr_comfy_sip:

Healers are crying they have to press buttons.

Therefore the healers that can press buttons get first pick.

Weird, its seems like most of the time its ppl doing 20’s that say healing is fine, or like this cool guy…throws out attacks.

What does 20s have to do with anything?

Healers are crying they have to heal is a verifiable fact. Up until DF healers were basically carried and used as cd bots with terrible dps (yes I’m including myself in that because I healed those xpacs).

In DF healers have to actually play the game and that’s the problem for GD.

I would heal, but watching life bars and mechanics is a bit much for me.

Yuh there’s a bunch of people on the forums who are extremely hostile towards anyone who dares voice the opinion that healing feels really bad in M+ this season or brings up the healer shortage in PUGs like I’ve personally just started putting them on ignore.

Maybe next season, the pendulum will swing the other way.

Why can’t healers have a stake in the success or failure of a group?

Why do healers need to be coddled and have 0 responsibilities when dps (and some degree tanks) have been the sole carriers of keys.

I enjoy feeling my role is needed and not dead weight.

Well if it does hopefully it’s somewhere in the middle where there’s still healer checks on Bosses maybe some smaller ones on trash that would scale with key level and with mechanics that should be a DPS problem if failed punishing DPS players rather then the healer. Like if the DPS don’t interrupt or kill adds fast enough they should be punished with a DPS decrease not the healer with the whole group losing most of their health bar.

Also really need to try harder with designing these affixes to not all be healer problems because so far their attempts to do so have consistently failed.

I would think this matter is subjective, but the long wait to fill groups from lack of healers pugging, may have some merit.

Because they are no longer be coddled and share responsibility in a keys success.

The first screenshot of someone complaining is invalid. Ellesmere runs +27s and such. If healing is too hard, drop the key seven levels, you think?

Thr market works. I hope we bring the arrogant DPS to their knees.

I want to do the things too. :frowning:

Go Shadow Priest and heal when youre bored.

And put some shoes on.

No U.

GD in DF: “HeAlInG Is tOo hArD”

blizzard: nerfs healing checks

GD: “WHY IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE TO RUN A KEY WITH NO HEALER!!??!”

Yeah this is also true. Haven’t most actual heal checks eaten like a 20 to 30% nerf?

All thats left is people playing poorly (all roles) and healers freaking out because they can no longer afk.
