Healer Queue Times?

So I’m making a void elf because I’m basically out of things to do until Kul Tirans release (:crossed_fingers: Late Feb, early March, pleeeease) and I usually tank. My problem is I don’t care for void elf warriors or monks. They just don’t feel right to me. Plus I don’t need another of either of those tbh.

ANYWAY, I was considering making a priest and healing. What are healer queues like-

  1. While leveling
  2. At max level
  3. In LFR?

Is there currently high demand for healers? Or does that honor fall solely on tanks? Thanks for anyone who can provide info! My schedule just doesn’t allow for a ton of waiting and I prefer being able to get into dungeons at least somewhat quickly.

Healers seem relatively fast. Especially compared to dps. Tanks still feel like the fastest queue times, but healers usually find groups pretty easy imo. I’m leveling a lightforged draenei priest as holy and I’m finding groups fast. I’m currently level 66 as a priest and had no trouble finding groups fast for classic, burning crusade, and wotlk dungeons using the dungeon finder. I can’t comment on max level or lfr though. I haven’t really healed that much this expansion at max level.

queues are a couple minutes at max unless you do lfr late in the week, sometimes that queue is around 15 minutes

Be prepared to heal everybody. Not every tank is perfect. As you level the low levels, you will find tanks who don’t know where to go, so a DPS starts pulling and the tank following DPS. Or just way too fast while not keeping aggro etc.

Sometimes I watch them die and hit rez buttom to run back from the instance entrance and die, one by one, without bothering to wait for the tank or healer, they are like lemmings sometimes, just keeps going and going to their death one by one…

I can speak for 1-60 (5-10 at most, often quicker than estimate) and 98-120 (usually 10-15)

In the current/new raid times are less than 15 usually, on the past one it’s been longer some time.

Oddly in lfr if a satchel is up for heals queue times seem to get really long. I’ve seen as long as 45 estimates.

Priest and healers in general will always be in demand and it’s a great class. So go ahead. And Void Elf is an awesome race, especially a Priest. :slight_smile:

I must be super unlucky, all my queue times have been like 12-20 minutes, since I started my velf priest :frowning:
