It’s such a common request, and over the years certain addons have worked to accomplish this. And yet in 2023 it still isn’t a feature of the game. Disgusting.
Edit: I’m talking about in your UI, it doesn’t let you put yourself on the bottom. Like it used to by default years ago.

?? tank first, healer second, dps last. that is my priority when I heal. Unless I am with a really good tank that can take care of him/herself.
He’s not talking about healing priorities talking about positioning on ui/portraits
I’m sorry… he’s mad because there’s not a UI option, calling it “disgusting” because he won’t get an addon for whatever weird way he wants his UI set up??
I’m usually the last one I heal in a priority situation, just cause I have a better idea of the incoming damage I take. Dps are a wild card.
I’ve used raid frames in party for so many years I have no idea what party frames do.

Addons are enabled so players can extend the game with things they want (and possible with the API), and dev resources are focused towards big story and gameplay changes, instead of small, niche things, that players are already providing with addons. If there’s an addon that does what you want, use it! If it’s really, really, popular then Blizz might put a simplified version directly in game (e.g., Gear Score, Raider IO Score, Bartender, etc.). If it’s not as popular as you think they’ll probably not bother to spend resources putting it in game to benefit a tiny minority of players.
Me neither. Lord knows I don’t want myself or other healers on the bottom of the list.

That’s awesome that’s not the way you would prefer to sort your UI. However it’s a very common thing to do in PvP and players have been making work-arounds work for years. It’s unbelievable to me it’s so simple and hasn’t been attended to. Disgusting.

Can you point me to the addon that is working on this current patch that accomplishes putting you at the bottom of the group?
I usually go Tank → Healer → Melee DPS → Ranged DPS so confused why OP wants healers at the bottom
Generally, not having a functional addon means it’s not that popular a desire.
Anyway, being able to organise groups could be nice. I feel like the hyperbole isn’t needed though, all it’s done is derail your suggestion with people poking fun at it.
I think it’s more that there used to be this option base, but now like almost every thing else in WoW when someone says anything it’s the default response to say there’s an addon
Things like needing a new addon just to do something that either used to be there or should be there doesn’t make any sense at all.
Little annoyances like this is what makes people stop playing, and using their products.
