Hi, I bought an MMO gaming mouse with the 1-9 buttons on the side and my question is how to program the buttons into healbot? If healbot isnt the right addon I can switch. I just want it to recognize all the buttons so that I can set a spell to each one. The software that came with the mouse allows for Macros which I guess I could also use. Any help is appreciated.
I have a mmo mouse with 12 buttons on the side and didn’t have to do anything in wow. The mouse driver itself maps those buttons to keyboard keys 1 to =. Pressing the button on the mouse looks exactly the same to all Windows applications as hitting the regular key on the keyboard.
As long as your mouse works like that and you have the appropriate keyboard mapping in WoW, it will work.

You might look at Vuhdo as an alternative to Healbot.

Healbot only recognizes mouse buttons, left right middle 4, 5… windows hasnt got their sh** together to let the operating system recognize more than those buttons, this is why all mice with extra buttons have them mapped to keyboard buttons.
You need to map them to keyboard keys then you can use them. If Healbot doesn’t allow using keyboard keys for binds, as Voldorn suggests, then you’ll want to switch to Clique or another addon that does.
I use an MMO mouse and have the keys binding to ‘1’ to ‘=’. Then setup mouse over macros for each healing spell. This eliminates the need for an add-on and works in the same function. Just adjust UI so that the party/raid frames are where you like them. Each players frame will only require your mouse over their frame for a simple button cast. Hope this helps!! =D
