As a healer, I have tried to heal this encounter on three different characters (lvl 80, lvl 75, and lvl 74) and the scaling seems bugged. My heals are doing half of what they should be doing, and they do not seem to move the tank’s health at all. I’ve seen numerous Reddit posts from people saying the same thing about their healing being way off.
Is this encounter bugged?
I’ve noticed the same thing… though, it seems to mostly affect healing other level 80 players. I was healing a level 80 tank who had 8 million HP and my heal which usually crits for close to 1.5 million was instead crit’ing for about 200k.
I do it on 4 tanks every day and notice the lack of healing. That’s why I looked to see if people were talking about it. I die like every other time on my Paladin.
Why does every boss spell hit your DPS for 75% of their health now, while we can only throw out 5% healing at a time with each spell?
healing used to be a whole lot less frustrating back in legion, now it seems like blizz has a hard-on for making the game as stressful as possible for healers
It’s also self healing at 80. Self casted vivify/word of glory hits for about 70% less than they should.
The damage scaling seems pretty weird too. We queued up with a full group of 70s yesterday before tackling some Classic TW dungeons, and one of our players averaged “1.2M DPS” according to Details. Didn’t really see this behavior in the TW dungeons, so it seems to be unique to Headless Horseman coupled with the healing issue reports here.
