For nearly 13 years I have farmed for the Headless horseman mount. Over that time I have done the run nearly almost every day of the event when it is active. Across multiple toons through the flow of time and space it continues to elude me. I am growing weak brothers and sisters. My patience is wearing thin but I must persevere. The lessons Dark Souls and Elden Ring have taught me are instilled in my veins. The motto of my class rings in the air.

I have been playing for 20 years and never even seen it drop…until this year. I saw some post on Facebook about the mount, so I decided to tank it with my level 10 twink paladin. The mount dropped for me on the first run. Just give it seven more years…and maybe you will have it at 20 like me.
I stopped trying so hard. I do maybe 4 HH runs a week during the holiday. Either I get it or I don’t. I’ve made peace with it. I’ll wait until it’s in the trading post or a twitch drop.
It’s disgusting that they put a sub 1% pet drop in there too. I think I’ll skip Arfus and go get Jenafur.

Still farming that LK mount. Starting to think that I will never get it to drop tbh.
It’s not hard to get at all.
Low drop rate + holiday only is not the same thing as difficult.
Also i’d argue FOMO mounts that are already gone are far harder to get than HH.
I got nothing for years and years then a few days ago it all dropped for me, ring, helm, and the mount.
In fact I was so overjoyed at seeing the helm in my gear bag that I did not see the mount in my regular bag.
So I was oh what’s this…and then immediately lost my mind, put on the helm, mounted up and mashed the laugh button every 30 seconds as I flew around Dorn for a few minutes.
Felt good.

It’s not even close to the hardest. I’ve had it drop about 20 times, no exaggeration. I had it on a dozen characters before shared mounts, and some of those had gotten it more than once. I have one in my pally’s bank on the off chance they ever make it sellable.
Meanwhile, Invincible.
The game senses what you want and denies it. Was going after the mount, got the pet. Was going after Garosh’s mount, got the tusks. Go for something else to confuse the game. Now I’m going after the ring that drops from Rukhmar 
I have holiday mounts like the rocket, and HH mount, but LK mount? Don’t see that ever happening

Frankly, the day I got this mount was one of my most dissapointing experiences.
…what’s this? Idk if I can handle two pets I need to grind for, I do not like collecting pets.
It does for me…at least with dragonflight. I haven’t tried normal flight.
