WOTLK classic, headless horseman cannot be ridden in Dalaran as a ground mount and when I fly on it, it is like it’s having seizures. Please fix this as this is the best mount in WoW! Thanks!
Yeah, the mount’s flying animation has a really annoying bug. It’s bugged since the new patch was live on PTR.
Are we waiting til P5 to fix this? Is Blizzard that incompetent? Also, why do we need to lose features to gain features? Why can’t I ride this mount in Dalaran anymore?
There ya go.
Did you even read my post?
I’m asking why we need to lose the ability to ride this mount and similar mounts to gain account-wide mounts. And why we have to wait months for the incompetent indie dev to fix the problem they created.
I see reading and critical thinking are too hard for you. I’ll break it down nice and simple for you.
Account-wide mounts have nothing to do with it. The ability was removed when all mounts were changed to adapt between ground and flight depending on zone, and Dalaran just happens to be uniquely screwed in this regard. Assuming they copied how it works in retail, retail Dalaran doesn’t work like this anymore, and adaptive mounts came after that point, during a time where zones that disallow flight (but only in very limited parts) don’t quite exist anymore, meaning this particular problem never had to be resolved.
Thank you for admitting in front of everyone that you have no idea how game development works or how complicated it is, and that you should not be taken seriously.
Have a nice day!
Dalaran has never been set up the way it’s supposed to be, the way it WAS in original Wrath. It is supposed to be a non-flyable zone with exception of the landing, but that was apparently too complicated for the classic team, so instead they just BLOCK use of any mounts that can fly.
It’s irritating because I use [flyable] in my mount macro to determine which it pulls. So standing in the middle of Dal, the macro thinks you can use the flying mount. You can’t.
something something you don’t know how game development works
Weird, all this didn’t happen until ICC was added.
IT MUST HAVE CAUSED EVERYTHING
Really, though, its easy to see that the adaptive mount changes are the cause. The collections tab just happened to be added at the same time. The blue post above pretty simply explained that its a difficult issue, and its going to take time.
Mounts that can fly have been banned from use in Dalaran since Classic Wrath launched, try again.
I’m referring to how ALL mounts have been made adaptive mounts this patch, and that they also scale with riding level, and that the way they work is different than how the HH mount and others worked prior to patch. Thats why its not so simple.
You seem ever so slightly lost in this conversation.
Maybe. Dal is a flyable zone with flying mounts banned.
HH ground version stopped being pulled with this update, which means…everything you just said is agreeable. Cool.
I still hate the way they set up Dalaran. It should just be noflyable.
It… It is though? You can’t get on flying mounts outside of the landing. And there’s only like, 2 spots where it doesn’t dismount you from flying mounts automatically.
Macros still see it as an ordinary flyable area.
There’s just a dismount/ban area on top of it.
Ah I see what you mean. I think if it was labeled strictly no-fly though, you’d get dismounted the moment you fly over it.
its been flagged as an issue for a bit
This is incorrect
Hours late to the revelation, hero, but thanks.
Got any example other than HH?
Any adaptive mounts so the love rocket (X-54 Heartbreaker) as well
Are there any plans at all to fix this? Still unable to use the HH in Dal.
