Mine does too, especially on melee characters, because moving out of the bad stuff means I have to move away from the boss. I’ve also never successfully completed a full-curse run on any of my tanks yet because I have to budget inconveniencing the rest of the group by moving the boss around a lot versus my own dealing with the mechanics. Even still though, picking up one curse instead of all 4 on a tank is a huge benefit to the group because it gives you another chance to tank the boss without penalty if you “die”.
My range and my healers can handle the curses okay, the DPS/HPS still drops but it’s much more manageable and I still meaningfully contribute to the group. Usually if someone dies when I’m 4-curse healing, it’s because they absolutely refused to ever move out of fire and it was more than I could keep up with - which incidentally is the same thing that happens in mythics and raiding.
I do my first run of the day on my hunter, because I can manage to get through it with all the curses without failing much. My DK? Nope. Haven’t managed to get the achievement for killing the HH with the curses yet. And for full disclosure, I’m one of those “bad dps” players, apparently. I don’t even do group content as a general rule, but I want that puppy!
I only ran it on my DK and my feral and my feral is about 50/50% with having the buff still at the end. My DK can do it every time because I think that anti-magic shell protects you a bit.
I’ve had the mount for a few years now. I’ve done almost every run on many level 70 alts with all four curses. I’ve ended plenty of runs with all four curses and none of the failure debuffs.
Almost every purple loot-filled pumpkin has had a mask and maybe candy. A couple have had plate helms, swords, and so many Sinister Squashlings, I’m deleting them.
Three or four have had “No Loot” bugs, where the pumpkin stays in my inventory and the loot window just has gray “No Loot” with a gray bag icon. Presumably those are the ones that would have been the Horseman’s Reins.
Anyone notice this year they can’t help put throw that magic broom at you all day long now since we have a Perm Flying Broom…I have been getting tons of those magic brooms this year…
I thought the exact thing! I’ve never seen so many brooms. And of course, any broom is useless to any character in DF, so I figured that was part of it too.
I believe in teaching folks to fish rather than just giving them fish. Aside from that, since your character isn’t 60+ yet, the answer didn’t really pertain to you anyway, right?
I was thinking it was the opposite as I have none of the holiday brooms. I was assuming if you had earned the permanent one you just didn’t get them only to see your post.
Does the curses increase your chances for the pet and mount skin or just the mount ?
I know you prob don’t have the answer to this one but why is the mount skin and pet in the RNG box and not from a vendor for event currency, 340+ HH kills so far this hallowend with 90% of them being fully cursed and I’ve not seen the pet or mount skin.
Basically, Players as end users don’t know anything, it could be bug or just a value that’s astronomically low like love rocket was for several years…etc, We’re just at the mercy of Reward Dev decisions
