Don’t do the BRD TW quest from Tanaris, or you got blocked from doing the BT Timewalking quest and dont get hero loot. I screwed myself on 3 characters.

Thanks for the heads up. Feels like this isn’t intentional. Blizzard really needs to get onto the bugfixing for this patch. It’s really bad even two weeks after launch.

The BT raid quest is in Dornogal for some reason
Well there’s the one you get in Shattrath or inside black temple that awards a hero piece of gear from killing Illidan specifically. That’s the quest you can’t complete.

TW weekly goes back to normal (outside of the Classic Anniversary stuff). So for each TW expac that is not classic, you just need to go to Dorn to pick up the “Do 5 dungeons” and when the first one drops the usual item, you take that to Shatt, but return to Dorn to turn in the “5 completed”.
You did it 3x and not realized the problem? Sorry to hear that, friend.

I haven’t done the BRD TW quest this week but I did pick it up and BT TW says I am ineligible. So maybe don’t even pick it up?

Well, that’s just stupid.
They like to surprise people.
So I just did BT on a character, finished the quest just fine. THen went to Tanaris and picked up the BRD quest, and it seems you CAN do both, just have to do BT first. So…is THAT the bug? You’re not supposed to be able to do both? I guess either way for now do BT first, then BRD.
You have a source for that?

This makes no sense and it’s obvious people are getting confused what is bugged.
The quest to go kill 5 raid bosses or dungeons is working fine. The quest to go get the map/McGuffing from BrD AND the quest to kill Illidan in TW BT and get his McGuffin is NOT fine…as in if you do the BrD quest, which people like me are likely to do on alts who more likely need the gear and want to get it done while the mains are running it instead of trash tier alts and players later in the week you then lose access to the Illidan quest.
HOWEVER, if you do BT quest first without the BrD one in your log, you get the hero track piece AND can then go pick up the BrD McGuffin quest and do it AND get that reward too.
Making us choose one or the other would have been fine if it was communicated to us that the choice was either/or. I did my usual Tuesday “pick up all the quests and sort them out as I go” and lost out on the Black Temple quest.
